He has just been picked up by Adam Shelton's ONE Records for a release and we are promised more new material very soon. Meanwhile be content with his killer mix for us, which Adam says showcases his more fun, playful side.

Summer has all but gone, and we’re now into the bosom of September. To abate the impending Winter gloom, we bring you the 6th edition in our budding mix series courtesy of the Depth Over Distance imprint. Founded by members of the previously successful SEKOIA Collective, this independent label has gone from strength to strength in its hometown of Amsterdam (via Utrecht) in the last few years. 

Whether they’re hosting parties and playing intoxicating sets at the likes of Marktkantine and Radion - or releasing house and minimal with a retro-futuristic art aesthetic as portrayed via the beautiful marbled vinyl of DOD444 – the trio are continually pushing the envelope and making sure their voices are heard. 

Their superb musical offering consists of a fine-tuned blend of high calibre records, assimilated flawlessly into a single piece of auditory beauty. There’s even some forthcoming stuff from the label, cos they’re nice like that!

An undeniable showman, this mix gets the full Proper treatment; expect unpredictable blends countered with eclectic selections, all wrapped up with a healthy dose of twisted soul and groove. It’s that diverse sound which has carved out a name for himself since his first string of releases on Rush Hour many moons ago in the mid 2000’s;  and still rings strong  on his upcoming record on MUSAR, riffy, bassy and everything you associate with the San P sound.

Clandestino have been involved in Leeds' underground music scene for over 20 years; regularly throwing diverse parties and inviting exciting DJ talent. Their esoteric style of dance music has gained them gigs at some of Europe’s premier club spots such as Renate in Berlin, Stalingrad in Paris, Geneva’s La Graviere and Powerhouse in Moscow in addition to being regular fixtures on the discerning festival circuit. Their monthly show on KMAH Radio is deemed essential and their podcast series is revered world wide for showcasing regular mixes from high caliber and lesser known DJ's.
