'A re-issue of this timeless italo ballad produced by Italian percussionist Massimo Pacciani. The song was recorded in 1984 in Marzio Bennelli’s studio in Florence with an Oberheim OB-X, Yamaha DX7, Marzio on guitar and the great vocals of Riccardo Galardini. They took inspiration from Flashdancers – Maniac (an italo cover of Michael Sembello’s ‘Maniac’) which they recorded the same day in Bennelli’s studio. Remastered from original master tapes.'

Jogada, the group behind PÚCA001, a Berlin-based trio made up by João Comazzi, Dave Murrin & Gavin Kenny. 

‘Cavalo' is their debut release and is the result of a string of weekly sessions held throughout the stagnant year of 2020, when they were forced to put their dancefloor energy into the studio. After years of friendship and sharing music together, they started exploring what happens when different musical backgrounds join forces.

The group is heavily inspired by traditional Brazilian rhythms, instruments, and sounds from nature, infused with some dusty synthesizers and a quest for exploring the unknown.

Today had been tiresome, each second feeling more like an hour. Within the four walls of her diamond white room she sat and waited. For what, she didn't know. All she ever did was wait. Alone in this space with nothing but her thoughts; nothing to focus her attention on except her hopes and her dreams, her successes and her failures. She watched the rain trickle slowly down the window, creating thick trails on the glass. Her eyes begin to swell with tears, running down her face as if in unison with the rain on the window outside. She couldn't pretend to be happy anymore. She would no longer conform.

To inaugurate her new label Microdosing, French producer Julienne Dessagne aka Fantastic Twins, has enlisted some of her close friends to be part of the first volume, which takes the same name as the label. Julienne hails the imprint as 'a collective experiment aimed at helping you fighting back your modern obsession with happiness.' The release features tracks from a talented bunch of producers, including Manfredas, Smagghe & Cross, Autarkic, Naum Gabo and, of course, Julienne herself. One year after the release of Roland Kaiser Wilhelm's acclaimed „Indigo EP“, the Berlin/Cologne label Papercup Records delivers two top-notch remixes. While Roland relocated from Cologne to Berlin, also changing his label and adding more live-played funkiness to his Balearic Barock sound, Lucas Croon, the title track's remixer, still resides in the Rhine-capital (and home of DAF and Kraftwerk) Düsseldorf, where he deejays in the famous Salon des Amateurs as a resident, when not playing in his bands BAR (Band am Rhein) or Stabil Elite, producing his own music or working on movie soundtracks. But he has also been visible in the Berlin club-scene a lot lately (well, before Corona, that was), shaking the floor in places like Paloma Bar, ACUD or Arkaoda.

His „Indigo Blue Jeans Mix“ relies heavily on the famous slapbass patch from Korg's classic M1 synthesizer workstation, while also adding pitched real and sampled vocals and lush chords. Its playfulness suits the track pretty well, and the production is so rich in detail it's an extreme pleasure listening to it both in the club or on headphones. The beat evolving from broken into straight four-to-the-floor also makes it an ideal bridge track to clubbier parts in a set.

Conga Fever's „Hookah Mix“ of the track Archangelsk is a whole different affair, a deep, oriental journey with fat bass and a truly massive drop. It's still utterly melodic though, and the visionary melodic guidance sets itself apart from most of the current productions out there.

Both tracks have been lovingly mastered by Berlin's Steddy, who really knows how to meticulously shape the sound of any track in order to bring fatness to the dancefloor.

Clandestino have been involved in Leeds' underground music scene for over 20 years; regularly throwing diverse parties and inviting exciting DJ talent.
