After the success of Casey's first chapter on For Those That Knoe, he returns with three more liquid techno tracks, unearthed from his 90s archive. Two unreleased pieces are pressed alongside an absolutely rare deep gem from the Fine Balance vaults. 

Following on from BST on Knoe 2/1, Tanita is bright and melancholic; bringing its phased soaring pads and slippery acid funk to grace the A-side of Knoe 2/1. Yet again Casey delivers a unique take on Techno, shattering those preconceptions of the genre's dark and moody melodies with warmth, swing and harmony. 

The flip sees Stratosphere, a stand out track from FINE 002 moves to the outside of the B-side. From the highs of Tanita, Casey drops the EP down into the abyss with a haunting lead, moody pads and a squelchy arpeggiated synth. The track speaks through the pure emotion of the harmonies Casey creates; able to tell a number of stories through his melody, Casey yet again surprises with his aptitude for creating something so simple and classic yet utterly fresh and new.

The B2 plays host to a perhaps more stereotypical 90s style tech house track. Up in the skies with the likes of BST and Tanita, the chord stabs and intrinsic delay patterns of Secret Desires breathe funk over swinging rimshots and sizzling hi hats. The track sets itself apart from most 90s tracks with clever arrangements, an unpredictable but bumping bass line and some fine live work on the synths and groove boxes.

Casey Tucker - knoe 2/2

Quatorze recordings is back with a stellar delicious compilation entitled "Mango Smoothy".

The perfect tracks for an endless summer breeze, salty textures, shiny & well tanned, hitting that sweet spot between uplifting, dreamy & euphoric grooves.

Title track "Mango smoothy" delivers a long consistent almost non evolving intro, until the surprise of funky melodic riffs & pads swell into Trumpets & Saxophones expressing an endless dance in pure simplicity & precise musicianship.

"Surf your eyes" eludes to dreamy pads & a Bass-line tied to those morning after-hours, when dancers are purely relying on the groove's persistence into the sunrise, in order to soak the sun & go directly surfing.

"Red Flip" The switch to wake up into full euphoria, but with a nostalgic romantic melancholy, driving lucid textures & a stunning melodic journey from the beginning to the end while emphasising the signature Low frequencies to uplift the dance.

"Back to it" The deepest track in the Ep, pure ear candy for deep house lovers, & a full satiating meal for the lovers of Sam's signature sound.

"Trip to Zanzibar" Closing B side, calmly wrapping up the album, through jazzy minimalistic pads, & the state of art simplicity of percussive elements.

This new release from HELP presents music from various HELP-related artists. Another release from the Århus-imprint that doesn’t directly state “club-proof”, but still, this one wouldn’t mind having a spin or two by your local dance-pusher. The opening track is by Central; a fresh house tune with both melodies and good-vibes - maybe the closest this young man has come to making an anthem. Next up is the 4 piece group Maizena with a ambiguous rhythmical ambient-house jam from the area of Denmark where it rains the least. On the B-side you’ll find a raw and to the point recording of DJ Sports and C.K joining PH1 in his throwback techno-studio in the suburbs of Århus. Next up is the long awaited debut from Manmade Deejay, who has been cooking a floating rhythm jam for this 5 course meal of modern danish cuisine. Last but not least Amsterdam-based KAAP joined Central on a fine day at Rubber Studios to create this dreamy and galloping ride.  All in all this genuine piece of wax if filled with local devotion and love from the HELP-crew. Clandestino have been involved in Leeds' underground music scene for over 20 years; regularly throwing diverse parties and inviting exciting DJ talent. Their esoteric style of dance music has gained them gigs at some of Europe’s premier club spots such as Renate in Berlin, Stalingrad in Paris, Geneva’s La Graviere and Powerhouse in Moscow in addition to being regular fixtures on the discerning festival circuit. Their monthly show on KMAH Radio is deemed essential and their podcast series is revered world wide for showcasing regular mixes from high caliber and lesser known DJ's.
