Otherwise Records presents “Stop That Record, And Rewind That!”, the latest EP by DJ,
producer, and label manager Fran Bortolossi. Featuring 3 original tracks — “Stop That Record,
And Rewind That!”, “Music All Night Long” and “Don’t Do It” — the release navigates the
intersection of Indie Dance and Nu Disco, where arrangement choices push the tension between
memory and motion, the dancefloor and immersive listening.
The title track builds around vocal cuts that operate like rhythmic triggers, layered over modulated
basslines and spacious percussion in a structure that nods to the past without falling into
nostalgia. “Music All Night Long” leans into a looser, more fluid framework, led by textures
reminiscent of early Daft Punk — channeling club hedonism with restraint. Closing the EP, “Don’t
Do It” takes a more direct route, fusing groove and harmonic fragments, anchored by a filtered
vocal that emerges with a confessional tone.
With this release, Fran Bortolossi continues to refine his sonic language — one rooted in
deliberate timbral choices and structures that emphasize internal movement. Stop That Record,
And Rewind That! sits within the Otherwise catalog as a contemporary reading of the dialogue
between form and function, expanding the ways sound can inhabit space with clarity and control.

Mendo’s debut album ‘Avalon’ lead to an unprecedented year of dominance of the Beatport charts, opening doors to an in-demand international schedule taking in Ibiza residencies and tours Down Under.

Since 2013, the Clarisse Nights label showcase has had all of Europe’s top clubs upholding Mendo's philosophy: "I just want people to have a good time with my music”. These nights are a vibes-heavy vehicle for Mendo and the Clarisse DJs team to put on a party that underlines the label’s signature sound while welcoming the best guest headliners. Carefully selected for their musical selection and dexterity behind the decks, those in tune with the label’s attitude make every date one to jump on.

More than jut a record label and moving with the scene to maximise the brand, Clarisse Records’ mixing and mastering services opened for business in 2022. With no better place to show off their style than the White Isle, the summer of 2023 saw Mendo fine-tune all of the label’s heaviest hitters, and then apply the magic touch to labels such as Hot Creations, Hottrax, Jamie Jones’ Paradise imprint, and The Martinez Brothers’ Cuttin’ Headz stable. With the Clarisse DJs roster guaranteeing a roadblock every time they come to town, Clarisse Nights have already made steps en route to a worldwide takeover, capturing hotspots across Ibiza, London and Croatia.
