Demo audio of the Spanish Baroque aria “Aunque brame el huracán” by José Coll, Master of Chapel of the Prioral Church of the Port of Santa María (Cádiz), composed in honor of St. Peter the Apostle.

This dramatic piece, originally written in the 18th century, features a powerful soprano line accompanied by horns in F, violins, and basso continuo, evoking the intensity of a storm at sea. The aria is preceded by a recitative titled “Ya la nave ligera”.
