I think the circle is round. Finished the 5th impromptu today. It has the sounds of some of the other impromptus, a strong somewhat difficult rhythm, the flowing and harmonious episode, some nice chords and a bit of a wild theme. Hope you like it and I'm glad to hear your opinion on it. My intention is to upload the 5 impromptus fo spotify and other platforms.

The only joy to be had from a secret, is in keeping it. If this were a secret, I would not share it with you, on any account, under any circumstances. However, what follows has been in the public domain for many years, and is, on one view, somewhat amusing.

The Scottish composer, Alexander McKenzie, once sat a music exam, in which he played a piece composed by himself, after indicating to the examiners the piece had been written by Schubert. He got away with it! He passed the exam and they never found out.

Alessandro Marcello's 'Adagio' (2nd Movement) from Oboe Concerto in D was arranged for solo keyboard by J. S. Bach and to me truly one of the most beautiful pieces of music of all time!! Life has had me by the tail, so I was so happy to finally have some quiet time to work out this gorgeous work of art for you.  This music ignites sheer joy, peace and passion in me and I hope you will feel it through my own interpretation. My name is Jackie Perks and I am a classically trained pianist and composer.  To me, music is fantasy and also the greatest universal language that transcends space and time. Here I showcase all of my original works, which are a combination of raw improvisations and structured pieces.  People tell me that my music is a fusion of classical, jazz/blues, and sometimes with a New Age or cinematic sound and that it inspires and relaxes them. Music to me is essential, just like the air we breathe and I love to free my emotions by playing my piano and composing the music that I have heard playing in my head since I was 4 years old. In addition to my originals, you will also find classical pieces here that I have arranged myself.  In June of 2015, I was discovered on YouTube and one of my improvisational covers was used in an HBO Documentary. To see me playing live, please visit my YouTube channel.
