Duo Tarantelle is formed by guitarists Romaric Martin and Stijn Konings. Both are students, one at the Superior Conservatory Of Paris, the other at the Superior Conservatory of Bretagne. Teachers as Olivier Chassain, Bruno Marlat and Wim Brioen are guiding this duo on their way.

"The Ensemble was founded in January 2012, within the framework of “ResonArs” Academy, in the city of Assisi. It is composed by seven young elements, prepared by internationally renowned musicians and musicologists, specialised in Medieval and Renaissance music.

The aim of the group is to study thoroughly musical sources of the medieval period, in order to perform and spread this kind of music. Atthe moment, the Ensemble is working especially on Italian music of the 14th Century and Spanish paraliturgical music from the 13th to the 14th Century.
All the musical intruments used by the musicians are reproductions, made by Umbrian luthiers, of original instruments, represented in some Medieval paintings, miniatures and statues."
