Passionate about hip-hop in all its forms, my heart beats for the golden era in the US, the late 90s/early 2000s French scene (with legends like DJ Mehdi), and of course, Japanese hip-hop, which has had a huge artistic influence on me. Hydeout Productions, Takuya Kuroda, DJ Mitsu The Beats, Nomak, Nitsua… and many more shape my musical world.

I started as a deep listener, then moved into DJing and mixing, and now, I’m creating my own beats. No matter the evolution, the passion remains the same.

I also founded Ofa Music Group, a collective/label to honoring a specific era and musical aesthetic—where jazz and hip-hop blend seamlessly, where organic sounds meet lofi textures to create timeless atmospheres.

Classik (Charles Monterroza), is an acclaimed recording artist, songwriter, and record producer from Toronto, Canada. Renowned for his soul-stirring lyrics, infectious hooks, and beats that leave listeners hitting the replay button, Classik boasts a discography of over 40 projects. He has worked with jazz rap luminaries such as Karmawin, CrazyJaZz, Shin-Ski, and other notable talents.

Classik's roots are steeped in resilience and hope, as the son of refugees who escaped the Salvadoran Civil War, a brutal conflict that finally found its end in the early '90s. Born in that very decade, he grew up surrounded by the lasting influence of hip-hop's golden age. For Classik, this genre wasn't just music; it was a lifeline. It became his voice when words fell short, helping him express emotions that remained unspoken in his everyday life.

His lyrics are an unfiltered letter from the heart, delving into the grit of life's toughest moments, addressing challenges, enduring hardships, and celebrating victories. Classik fearlessly tackles sensitive subjects, laying bare his true self in every song.
