In the last year, a mutant cacophony has funneled up from the region of Eurasia/Eastern Europe, simply known as WWWINGS. Comprised of members LIT INTERNET, LIT DAW, and LIT EYNE, this veiled trio has been using the World Wide Web as an avenue by which to fortify their ideas of self-distribution and collaboration - an extraordinary production unit among a global collective promoting anti-genre through fusion to further blur the definition of "club-appropriate" electronic music. After a handful of releases, WWWINGS unites with NYC's Purple Tape Pedigree imprint to co-present CHIMERA - a 6-tracker anarchic in both its sonics and cross-combination of talent.

Through relentless pace and unpredictable moments of aural assault, CHIMERA seems to simulate a head-on encounter with the mythological creature from which the EP gets its name. The title track cradles the senses in layered synth utopia until a cavernous pulse erupts through the long-drawn serenity, ripping the track into IDM-tinged warfare. "WYVERN" similarly shifts from shadows of a trance-like arpeggio cast over rolling ambience to a metallic dancehall riddim ornamented by ballroom crashes, ending in a freakish call/response of rap-worthy lumber and Lord-knows-what. "ZMEY" closes the side of originals with WWWINGS joined by Geng (PTP) and Bobby Johnson (Beyonce "7/11," Que "OG Bobby Johnson") - orchestrating a frantic Hellstorm of gut-wrenching noise and rattling sub bass. The 2nd half of the EP is armed with remixes ranging from a machine gun drum march by Eaves (PTP), to heavy-weightless chaos by Letta (Coyote Records), to a dembow-led frenzy as enforced by frequent WWWINGS collaborator, Endgame (PTP/Hyperdub). As the myth suggests, CHIMERA is a hybrid beast.

City High Fantasy is a remote collaboration of two prolific and distinct electronic musicians, both alumni of Dream Catalogue label, which released Pixelord’s third album Hypnorave in 2018, and several albums by ambient/experimental musician Sangam from Manchester, UK in the past four years.

The musical journey goes from a highly energetic, dark synth rhythm’n’rave with complex beat structures, further drifting the listener towards melancholic, abstract ambient soundscapes, stretched and frozen in time, with barely noticeable and slowly pulsating beat buried underneath ethereal melodies and hypnagogic synth pads, and back to more energetic percussions and beats. Timeless and timely, an exploration of inner freedom and the intricate ways two creative personalities find to co-exist in the unique, newly created sound universe.


This EP provides a peculiar introspective in the joint creative process of two distinct, self-sufficient artists. Both Pixelord and Sangam have a highly recognizable artistic ‘signature,’ they speak in very different, original musical languages. Somehow, these two private, individualistic, subjective inner creativities found a way to work together, to populate each other’s musical worlds with new sound entities, bringing their own different atmospheres, speaking all new tongues, amalgamating alien concepts and approaches together.

Raumskaya is a music producer based in Moscow. His sound is cinematic and emotional. Raumskaya sounds like club anthems and bass experiments that have been polished at numerous live performances, music festivals, raves and parties. Melodies and sounds of other worlds from sci-fi films not yet produced.

Initially, the concept for the album was Digital Ecology - but then Raumskaya realized that this album is not so much about ecology but his inner world. And is it possible, if the author still submerges people into the album filled with his personal problems and joys?
Unlike his previous album ‘Castleclub’, ‘Eco’ is beyond Raumskaya’s club background. This album is his real life auto save. Conversation with himself. States and emotions without filters. A cry into the void, a smile and a squint at the blinding sun. Happiness, calm, fear, despair, longing are all in it. Raumskaya left his definitions of trends and styles and just recorded the stream. Melodies played by hands without using a computer. Only the sparkling sound of the 80s Roland d50 synthesizer.

cadeu has been collaborating with Hyperboloid for almost 5 years. During this time, the musician managed to explore completely different paths in sound design and production. From the emptiness and fragmentation of the 'de' album to experiments on format compositions on 'un'. Hyperboloid is always open to the experiments of his wards, which allowed the author to try out a variety of ideas in the search and understanding of his own sound and approach to electronic music in general. So, on 'hy', an album named after the label, cadeu doesn't try to put any heavy conceptual forms on the tracks, but rather plays with space, snatches of musical phrases and blocks of composition. The result is an intricate, but comprehensible sound pattern at the same time, with references to different styles - be it bass, IDM, glitch or jungle. As always, cadeu's music is difficult to characterize with genre clichés - 'hy' can be both a club and home thing, or just a fan piece. Tracks can be safely put in sets, you can walk to them with headphones or thoughtfully explore this diverse sound canvas.

cadeu сотрудничает с Hyperboloid уже почти 5 лет. За это время музыкант успел исследовать совершенно разные пути в саунд-дизайне и продакшне. От пустоты и фрагментарности альбома 'de' до опытов над форматными композициями на 'un'. Hyperboloid всегда открыт экспериментам его подопечных, что позволило автору опробовать самые разные идеи в поиске и понимании собственного звука и подхода к электронной музыке в целом. Так, на 'hy' [хай], альбоме названном в честь лейбла, cadeu не пытается натянуть на треки какие-либо тяжелые концептуальные формы, а скорее играет с пространством, обрывками музыкальных фраз и блоками композиции. Получается замысловатый, но в то же время понятный для восприятия звуковой узор, с отсылками к разным стилям, будь то bass, глитч, IDM или джангл. Как и всегда музыку cadeu сложно охарактеризовать жанровыми клише - 'hy' может быть и клубным и домашним, и просто фановым произведением одновременно. Треки можно смело ставить в сетах, гулять под них в наушниках или вдумчиво исследовать это многообразное звуковое полотно.
