Fusion Affair - Venom coming soooooooon on @chuwanaga

Nothing better than coming to a venue with a good soundsystem and well-equipped DJ booth, knowing there’s a solid amount of time at your disposal, and no implied path to follow. Adriatic Social Club is one of those places, and the music on this particular evening flowed without a word exchanged on what course it should take. It was a good night and I’m glad we pressed record. Big up to RatCat for the offer to release it, I hope their audience will dig it. Pro tip - invite some friends over, drink some or smoke some, and have a good time. Peace. Jan

The debut from the Pleasure of Love mix series, NEW ISLANDS.  For our first one we're happy to have renowned LA record collector Ragz on board.  His depth of knowledge on Italo and groove-based Indian music is, to put it lightly, impressive.  A regular guest DJ at Heat-Wave and Pleasure of Love parties, Ragz has turned us all onto many records.  Here's a description of the mix he's put together for us-

"When I was pulling records for this mix I was looking for something to get my head out of lockdown and an escape to those carefree summers of yore. This mix is a bit of an ode to that. A couple of my big favs on here are Lucia’s Que Belleza – a Spanish inspired Italo balearic banger that everyone should own, J.M. Black’s Lipstick (Shout !) – silky smooth French boogie about amorous dodginess in the corner of a Manhattan bar, Club Band’s Club Is My Passion – Italo 7” private press goodness, Nick Carr’s Mambo – taken from his self-titled album and an underrated Greek electronic/synth-pop masterpiece, and finally La Cie Créole’s La Nuit Des Requins – the Zouk closer."
