Graeme says.....This started off as a vaguely pleasant but unremarkable little instrumental demo which I'd filed away wondering what, if anything could be done to bring it up to scratch....... Luckily, along came Gina who breathed some new life into it and it ended up becoming this chilled out little pop song....
Gina says....This song is a ramble about life going off into other directions than you had originally planned and then finding that you need to re-start with that original plan because the side-track ended up a dead end.....

   •   La canción fue escrita durante su exilio en España, inspirada en una historia de amor vivida en Mallorca, concretamente en la zona de Puerto de Pollença (Islas Baleares).  ￼
   •   Dado el contexto de represión, la letra recurre a metáforas y sutilezas para narrar un amor que no se podía expresar abiertamente.  ￼
   •   Con el tiempo, “Puerto Pollensa” se convirtió en un himno para la comunidad LGBT especialmente femenina/lesbiana, por su lectura implícita de un amor entre mujeres.  ￼
   •   La canción abrió caminos de visibilidad indirecta en épocas donde hablar explícitamente de relaciones entre mujeres era arriesgado.  ￼

all of the tracks on here are made with a 12 track boss digital recorder.      to make some sounds more spacious such as the main chords and melodies i have to use 2 tracks at the same time. this is why i try to keep my tracks short because i can only use a limited number of sounds. if i use 2 tracks for bass, drums, chords and melody it only leaves me with 4 tracks for effects and secondary melodies. i prefer to record only one sound on the channels allocated as this avoids problems with volume levels.  i'm not a great musician, but i am also not very good with computers, so this is the only way i can demonstrate my musical ideas.  a big thank you to everyone who listens and comments.........and especially those who like.
