Welcome to the Holy Rotating Church of Funk. Dancing Wu Li Masters is an all original alkaline bungalow funk group playing high energy 90s style music influenced by the likes of Talking Heads, Talk Talk, Stone Roses, Curtis Mayfield, Funkadelic and Ozric Tentacles.

All the music here was recorded in 1990s and was rescued from a knackered cassette tape, so the sound is authentic analogue!

Formed in a dank basement in Newcastle at the end of 2011, parastatic was the coming together of long time collaborators Neil Caffery and Jon Garrard with electronica maestro Rich Telford.  The combination of their various musical heritage resulted in their debut album in 2012 Lost Highway, which nodded towards krautrock and early 80′s synth-pop and drew critical praise in the UK and beyond with Mark Radcliffe proclaiming them “Prog on the Tyne”.

The band toured the album until mid 2013 when Rich left the group to devote more time to his new-born.  Neil took on synth duties and the band fortuitously recruited multi-instrumentalist Rachel Casey on live drums – taking the band’s sound into a more direct, propulsive dimension.

2014 saw parastatic complete their second full length – Recall Fade Return, due to be released on March 9th 2015 on 104 Records.  This record is less indebted to straight up krautrock and hints at more complex influences locating the band on an oscillating line between kosmische, shoegaze and post-rock.

Over the last couple of years parastatic have played across the UK alongside some of their favourite artists – Damo Suzuki, Moon Duo, Warm Digits, Eat Lights;Become Lights, The Early Years, Baltic Fleet and many more.


The forthcoming album ‘Recall / Fade / Return’ looks likely to build on the critical acclaim received for the band’s debut record – ‘Lost Highway’.

Ceri Lear is part of the S.U.S.S collective (subversion underground sound system) based in Swansea south Wales. he is also a resident dj and manager at south Wales’s premier techno event Subversion underground Techno.
 
ceri got introduced to the free party and underground techno scene at a very young age.regularly attending teknivals and techno events across the uk from where he picked up his taste for acid /free party Techno and it inspired him to get on the 1210’s and start mixing acid/techno
 
By the age of 16 ceri was playing out in basements and free parties across Wales. in 2008 ceri suss became residents at subversion underground techno playing alongside the mighty Dave the drummer,Chris Liberator,Ant,ddr,geezer,mark eg a.p dare and haste. just to name a few

Living Body is the Leeds-based immigrant-led double-drumming anti-capitalist indie/pop/rock sing-along, whose current live lineup includes includes Jeff T. Smith (f.k.a. juffage), Alice Rowan (Mayshe-Mayshe), Sarah Statham (Crake), Annie Prior (Parker Lee) & Matt Simpson. Other contributors include Katie Harkin (Harkin, Sleater-Kinney, Courtney Barnett) & Tom Evans (Vessels).

Shaped by Smith’s fascination with the contortion of the pop song into a uniquely imaginative and immediate form, his former Midwest-US upbringing and longstanding roots in both US and UK DIY scenes, Living Body infuses timeless melodies warped through an experimental and punk ethos, noise-rock, indie-rock, college-rock, post-rock, shoegaze, Motown.

They have toured extensively throughout the UK, EU and North America including SXSW, Canadian Music Week, Tramlines, Sŵn, Deer Shed, ArcTanGent, Daytrotter and Long Division Festivals. They have received praise from BrooklynVegan, Stereogum, Exclaim!, The Line of Best Fit, Drowned In Sound, the Skinny, For the Rabbits, God Is In The TV and Louder Than War, as well as airplay on BBC 6 Music, Radio 3, Amazing Radio and others.

Following their debut LP "Body Is Working", the group released live-favourite "C.R.E.A.M." (as part of Long Division Festival’s 12″ compilation "New Addition, Vol. 1"), "I Do" (as part of the Kingfisher Bluez 2020 Record Store Day 7″ compilation "Short Songs, Vol. 2") and "Don’t Kill Yourself (It’s Christmas)", a fundraiser for Leeds Survivor Led Crisis Service.

In 2023 they returned with an expanded live band, releasing the new single CONSUMER to critical acclaim, including being picked as Track of the Week on BBC Introducing in West Yorkshire. The band also performed as tour support for Owen (Mike Kinsella of American Football), plus one off-shows with Holiday Ghosts and Dolores Forever.

Expanding on the need for music to bring joy into the lives of others in an age of confusion and information overload, Living Body's music expresses the bleak yet positive, immediate yet complex, pessimistic yet hopeful, exhausted yet perseverant state of modern living.

On her return as Austel, Devon-born, London-based artist Annie Rew Shaw treads a different path from the one that saw her receive widespread plaudits for the delicate, luscious piano songs of her 2024 debut album Dead Sea.

Following years as a session musician – performing at festivals such as Glastonbury and touring the UK – Austel’s 2018 debut EP earned praise from BBC 6 Music and The Line of Best Fit, with her 2020 follow-up Cold Love gaining further support from Fresh on the Net, O2 Music and BBC Introducing. In 2024, she released her debut album Dead Sea, a dreamy exploration of loss, recovery and transformation - self-produced and featuring collaborations with Grammy Award-winning engineer Guy Massey. 

Now exploring the folkier intimacies of the guitar for music that’s also in conversation with the field recordings of Jon Hopkins & King Creosote, Adrianne Lenker and Cassandra Jenkins, Austel is developing a very personal sound that she still manages to make feel spacious and open. 

The first track of this new material, The Beach in December, is a gently arresting song that recalls in its smaller details the steps towards acceptance after the premature end of a budding relationship, but on a broader scale draws from a revelatory ayahuasca ceremony that “reignited a lot of childhood memories that I’d completely forgotten” and the idea of mapping out a life from those small fragments of experiences we often disregard.

Emily J is an independent live act whose show features an Ableton Live DJ set electrified with live flute, EWI and FX. Favourite styles include house, techno and chillout. It's all about dancing till way past bedtime and spreading the love!
