Brother In Arms is crafting the soundtrack to your next evening and you don't even know it yet. A natural collaboration between San Francisco-based friends/DJs/Producers J Boogie and Deejay Theory, the well-seasoned duo come loaded with vibes ready to light up nightclubs, beachfronts and fireplaces in 2014. Blending equal parts slowed house, deep disco, modern and classic R&B, their sound is something like Grace Jones making love to Todd Terje — and we're not mad at that.

BIA saw their first endeavors on a limited edition 12" via Whiskey Disco, as well as official remixes on Heavy Roc for DJ Equal, and Win Music for Eric Sharp ft. Anna Lunoe. Debut performances as a DJ duo have included support for Oliver, Classixx, Moon Boots, Poolside, Jimmy Edgar, B Bravo, Danny Daze and more. 

Their edits have quickly caught the attention of DJs worldwide, with plays on BBC Radio 1, KCRW, KEXP and WFMU. Free monthly downloads have been getting support from Okayfuture, Do Androids Dance, Karmaloop, Rolling Tuff, Kick Kick Snare and Hype Machine. 

Previous works can be heard on David Heartbreak's acclaimed "Moombahsoul" compilations, and regular DJ sets can be enjoyed at their resident "Night Moves" party with partner Papa Lu at Monarch in San Francisco.

Noc Boots, the ever soulful bootleg, edit and remix series run by NYC's own Cloak Dagger has returned with yet another lusty installment, Synonymous with the sensuous compilation, Noc Boots 2 brings that tropical disco infused heat just in time for the celestial spring into summer. Featuring the reunited maestro collabo of Cloak Dagger and Basement Love and their lusty new joint "Take Me There". Brother in Arms, the bay area alliance of J Boogie and Deejay Theory with their thumping summer anthem "Jamaican Gyal". Fast rising Mexican producer BRONX with the sensual and alluring "Sundays" capped off with the sentimental heater "Eighty Seven" by UK Benny & Gain co-conspirator Emil Rottmayer. Looks like somebody's Noc'n them Boots!

We started this track by building the instrumental around a Moog synthesizer sequenced to a driving beat—a technique favoured by the likes of Giorgio Moroder and Howard Jones. A few days later, the structure was in place, and we added an electronic violin line—but it was crying out for a vocal.  Our favourite Frenchman, Baccus, was already on our radar. We knew he’d be perfect for this French x Italo house vibe. He delivered exactly what we envisioned—the perfect vocal to bring it all together.

Mexican edit king Hotmood opens up the flood gates with his floor-friendly disco infused "Illusions" that's sure to make the body rock! Following suit is Texas native and rework legend The Silver Rider with the jazzy funk laden joint "El Rey". Batting third is label head Cloak Dagger with "Stokely's Lament" an undulating  deep disco protest anthem ripe for the times. UK based rework veteran Chuggin Edits fills out the vibe with his lovely re-edit take on "Nights Over Essex" a subtle and tasteful approach to this disco classic!
