Sacha Robotti knows and appreciates the No Brainer way. Praise him for taking some angel dust. No wait, praise him for taking some time off from Robosonic (Off Recordings) just to devote this precious time to delivering one of his rare sonic solo moments. Let’s pass out on his remix.

After releasing one of the biggest remixes on the label so far, Lithuanian producer Few Nolder is back with a full length EP, backed with a remix from East London’s new kid on the block, Kiwi.

Few Nolder first caught Matt Walsh’s attention in 2009 with a debut album released on Mike Paradinas’ highly regarded Planet Mu.  He has since joined the Silence Family, a music label, event promotion and artist agency founded by Vidis of Mario and Vidis fame, for bringing together luminaries of Lithuanian Electronica. 

The title track “Female Techno” sums up his EP on Clouded Vision. Dark, minimal synths and growling basslines, yet still with a plethora of sex appeal and dancefloor funk.  

Kiwi raises the tempo by adding an arms aloft breakdown and some crackling chords that have an instant effect.

Paper Recordings hits its 20th birthday in 2014 and most labels would sensibly sit down in an armchair, light their pipe and release a retrospective. But not us, oh no! Our very first release The Book by Salt City Orchestra had “Look Forward, Not Back” inscribed on the vinyl so this has been the year we launched Paper Disco and why Papercuts # 2 is packed choc-a-bloc with a new generation of artists.

The compilation is the best of Paper’s recent output with a mixture of the familiar, the grizzled and the brand new, demonstrating why Paper is still one of the most exciting house labels in the world today.

There are four exclusive unreleased cuts which are all here.

Richard Seaborne is our go-to man and always delivers. Here's its stripped back house with touches of Detroit and Chicago that pumps like a steam engine (if indeed they do pump) and a moody female vocal extolling her trip on the MDMA Express.

Recent Norwegian Grammy award winner Ralph Myerz gives us a taste of what to expect from his forthcoming album with Do The Choka Choka that is a peak time full floor houser.

Psychemagik's unreleased mix of Research's Day By Day is a lesson in grown up house music that kills the floor and has a subtle musicality that draws on a range of influences from the disco and balearic.

Finally Pete Gooding goes for a straight up thumping version of Justin Harris' 123 Breathe. After all, when you've got damn fine drums, killer bass, moody vox and hooky bass you may as well let it do its thing!

Sid Le Rock, fearless Canadian Space Bacon, no, Space Captain, who you all know for his countless epic adventures on labels such as Beachcoma, My Favorite Robot, Los Suruba, Mute, Ladomat and Shitkatapult, has used the Secret-Emergency-Distress-Signal hidden in his left arm, yes left arm, not his bionic drinking arm obviously. 

The little pieces of his message that had succesfully travelled all these light years to be received at the Areal Headquarters indicate that he is in a universe of trouble, some where close to the purple Zeta sector nebula. All we were able to unscramble are two mysterious audiosignals he sent us, which would somehow explain it all, if people on earth could manage to quote: „f-ing amplify the shit out of that shit“ (Mr. Le Rock) Copy that, Captain Sid, even though there is no way for us to know whether we are saving our most respected hero from a bunch of hungry and whiskey-loving aliens or maybe triggering mankinds well deserved extinction.

Recondite marks his return to Hotflush with the epic, potentially summer-defining 'Caldera' and a sequel to his 2012 hit 'DRGN'. The Bavarian artist has undergone a dazzling rise since that time, and one which is reflected in the increasing opulence of his music.

To be free, means to be a freak. Whether as a DJ, label manager, T-Shirt creator or all-round talent – since two decades, Ellen Allien is one of Berlin’s exceptional phenomena that have created her own universe with the combination of old school-based underground love and contemporary experimental spirit. After the lovely musical affair with Thomas Muller for the track „Free Nation“, for her new solo release we hear the anniversary bells ringing. The three tracks – which are co-produced by Martin Eyerer and Skinnerbox – already mark the 300th catalog number of BPitch Control.
The „Freak EP“ is not only the result of the last months in Berlin; it also flags up the change to Ibiza, where Ellen uses the warm season to spray her positive vibe during her residency in DC 10. „Butterfly“ acts like the kick-off and not only host graceful 808 pinpricks, with the dreamy melody in the background a nostalgic aura raises that reveals Ellen’s warmer side. Especially the bass rumble emphasizes the physicality of her music in an impressive manner – in short: pure love. „Come To
Me“ is desire and passion within seven and a half minutes. In addition to the deep house frame groovy beats pushes in the foreground that sets free a hypnotic mantra. Ellen Allien - Butterfly

Lesson 1 is already the third single of L’Equipe du Son’s forthcoming debut album ‘Supersonic’. After the success of ‘Love Will Find A Way’ LEDS come with an educational piece, ‘Lesson 1 (French for romantic purposes)’. 

The original version is a mixture between disco-mood sounds and breathy pop, deeply influenced by the synthesizer sounds of the 70s and 80s.

The first remix comes from The Legendary 1979 Orchestra and with carefully crafted swirling bells and warm synthlines the TL1979O remix has actually continued in the style of the original.

Hailing from Melbourne’s Inner-West it’s Silhouette Music regular Yasumo providing an entirely new approach. A perfect blend of guitars and, well, pure funk!

Rayko has an impressive portfolio of releases under his belt and has an almost insatiable thirst for editing both classics and lost gems in his distinctive and infectious style. This remix is only a confirmation of this, noticeable from the moment you hear the first bass key, it’s disco baby!
