Björn Torwellen’s ‘Binary Fate’ EP kickstarts CLR’s 2025 with three pounding Techno tracks 31st January 2025. From the razor-sharp percussion and raw bassline power in title track ‘Binary Fate’, to the cavernous dub hits and shadowy atmospheres of ‘Fear of the Unknown’, before closing on the mind-warping signals of ‘Lost in Transmission’ - Torwellen’s ‘Binary Fate’ is yet another supersized debut on the seminal CLR.

Following Björn Torwellen’s appearance on the CLR podcast in June 2024, the Cologne-based artist now definitively joins Chris Liebing’s label with the ‘Binary Fate’ three-tracker this January. With a career spanning over two decades, Björn is known for his discography on labels like De-Konstrukt, Nachtstrom Schallplatten, nonlinear systems, and now CLR.

Founded by influential techno lynchpin Chris Liebing in 1999 and reemerging in 2021 after a five-year hiatus, Create Learn Repeat (CLR) has hosted a range of artists like Shlomi Aber, Dubfire, Flug, Bjarki, DJ Dextro and more while also focusing on developing newer acts in the scene such as Risa Taniguchi, The Southern, and Klint.

Chris Liebing comes back to his CLR label this April with the ‘Phantom Rider’ EP, already supported by Daniel Avery, GiGi FM, Jon Hester, and more. The first track, ‘Kaizen’, doesn’t hold back - pounding drums, cavernous dub chords, and a razor-sharp snare-laden groove all play a part in this peak-time offering. Liebing’s ‘Wailer’ completes the package, continuing with more rough and raw rhythm and wonky, unfiltered 303 lines, making for a fantastic follow-up to his acclaimed version of Emmanuel Top’s acid techno hit, ‘Turkish Bazaar’, which closed out CLR’s 2024 and has stayed at the top of the Beatport Techno charts throughout 2025.

FLASH Recordings is the Berlin-based techno stable created by Florian Meindl that has featured artists like TWR72, Under Black Helmet, Jeroen Search, Stigmata, Flug, Lucy, and many more.

Italian producer and DJ, Salvatore Foglia, joins FLASH Recordings with a cutting four-track transmission of pure machine energy following appearances on Stanislav Tolkachev's RUDIMENT, Subsist, and Eclectic Digital Codec. Drawing from years behind the modular rig and the decks, Foglia crafts a sonic architecture where hypnotic synthesis collides with fractured rhythm.

For this DT:Premiere we selected "Oscillatory Reminescents" with a sturdy thump and softly swelling bass groans. Its stripped back, tool-like style has skittering hi-hats flying over the delicate, modular riff which bends and circles back with more intensity for a mind-altering, purist groove.
