On the 6th of November, I had the pleasure, after more than two years, to play the terrace of the fabulous Space club in Miami again. I feel playing at Space, especially into the early morning hours requires a little different type of setlist, and even more so when the sun starts to come up. So I specially prepared a "terrace" set and included some of my all-time faves in combination with new great things. Hiroko Yamamura opened with a beautifully flowing selection and set the mood for the whole night and morning. I started at 4am and ended up playing for 5h which was so much fun, especially dropping some of my all-time classics again, something I didn't do for a while. Well you can listen to the whole thing now and make your own verdict. Hope you enjoy. Oh and by the way, some news you deserve to know as you have been reading so far :). Since I restarted my CLR label this year, I decided that I will bring back the CLR Podcast once a month with a special DJ set by the artists who release on the label. It will be under the roof of AMFM, so you don’t need to do anything, but stay tuned and you will automatically hear the “AMFM CLR Special Podcast Edition” right here at the same spot. Adam Beyer | Awakenings Easter Festival 2022

This week´s AMFM is the fourth hour of a 7 h set that I played in a very special location. The club is called Distillery and is in Leipzig Germany. It is the longest running club that I have played at in my DJ career. My first gig there was part of the Harthouse 100 Tour in September 1996. The club has an upstairs floor and a downstairs basement floor. The basement is the smaller of both floors and that was the one I got to play in 1996. Since the club now goes into its final year, I wanted to once more play in the basement, so I did an all night long set on May 25th 2022. I started at midnight and ended shortly after 7 in the morning, playing quite a few classics as well. Sadly, due to a technical issue, I didn't manage to save a tracklist, so I appreciate any help that I can get with that in the comments from all of you! (Well I know what I played, it is just quite a lot of work to reconstruct that...) I hope you enjoy this whole set, it was very special to me and quite emotional at times, as I had loads of great memories popping up during my time down there, from all the amazing times that I got to have in this fantastic venue over the years. A big thanks goes out to the whole crew of the club, especially to Steffen, who has been running this place passionately since the beginning and is currently preparing the move into a new location by January 2023. Once more this is a reminder, how important the club scene is for our music and that we all should always support our local clubs. In the end they are the foundation for the music, for the resident DJs and for the crowd that enjoys a good time together. We would be nowhere without those kind of clubs run by passionate people for so many years. Long live Distillery Leipzig!

We are excited to present our next special guest in the mixtape series: the legendary Chris Liebing!
Chris Liebing has been a driving force in the techno scene for decades, creating a whole genre back in the 90s with hard, fast banging techno and continuing to push the limits of electronic music today, His infectious energy and friendly demeanor have made him a beloved figure in the industry, and his dedication to elevating other artists has helped the scene flourish

Growing up in the German town of Giessen, Liebing’s journey has taken him from a passion for early electronic music to opening a nightclub (“Spinclub”), working in the Eye Q record store and an acclaimed, lasting career in techno. Dedicating himself to a life of creating and sharing music, Liebing has pioneered the European techno scene whilst always staying true to himself.His DJ sets have forever been fast-paced and immersive, physical workouts, though in more recent years they have tended towards a deeper, hybrid approach of layering multiple recordings into something uniquely his. The track selection draws from an encyclopedic knowledge of the techno genre and its history; he interacts with the crowd, intermittently smiling and retreating deep into concentration. An extensive collaboration with DJ software developer Native Instruments has provided Chris tailor-made, DJ technology for himself, and his expertise has provided the same for DJs around the world. As well as club and festival performances, Chris has a weekly radio show called AM/FM; like his involvement in the NovaMute label, it’s one of many ways he stays ahead of the curve with new music.

The long-time friends reconnected during a period of artistic isolation, when Justin invited MIJA to spend a month in Berlin. Fueled by the rush of their first Berlin club experiences, 'Summer Groove' came to life in one quick sitting at their dinner table. The track channels the energy of hot and sweaty dance floors, with a funky bass line and blaring lead synths that could have come from the 90s. It's not often that we see people singing along to an unreleased track, but MIJA's infectious 'Give me something to dance to' had festival crowds cheering for a minute. Reason enough to welcome the pair to Club Heart Broken with a song that feels like a final toast to the season of seasons. Dubfire & Flug team up for the ‘Magma’ two-tracker on CLR.

Dubfire & Flug join forces for the ‘Magma’ EP on Chris Liebing’s CLR imprint, landing 27th September 2024. The EP marks SCI+TEC boss and Deep Dish legend Dubfire’s debut on CLR, with Argentinian techno lynchpin Flug returning to the label for the first time since his ‘Sincrodestino’ EP in 2014.

Dubfire & Flug’s ‘Magma’ EP on CLR starts with the title track, which sees crackling dub hits echo up top whilst deep low-end courses beneath its steady groove. ‘Magma’ is a raw and overwhelming force destined for late nights on powerful systems, enthralling dancers with its cavernous drops and frenzied soundscapes. ‘Friction’ then eases us in with whirring, electrifying acid as distant synths inch closer, culminating in a shadowy and hypnotic warehouse cut. With the ‘Magma’ EP, Dubfire and Flug provide us with a set of tracks perfect for peak time, which are guaranteed to create unforgettable high-impact dance floor moments.

Founded by influential techno lynchpin Chris Liebing in 1999 and reemerging in 2021 after a five-year hiatus, Create Learn Repeat (CLR) has hosted a range of artists like DEAS, Shlomi Aber, Drumcell, Truncate and more while also focussing on developing newer acts in the scene such as B. Riley, The Southern, and Klint.

Solee - Zeitgeist | Future Romance

Indira has enlisted the trusted services of Dubfire, Marco Faraone and Flug for the killer 6th instalment of the labels creative DUO release series, out on Thursday the 14th August.

At the pinnacle of his games for 30 years, Dubfire needs little introduction. A Grammy winner and maker of classics such as ‘Emissions’ and ‘Ribcage’, the SCI+TEC label founder, and other half of the legendary duo ‘Deep Dish’, Dubfire will make his ARTCORE debut with his long-time collaborator Flug, before joining Indira for her residency at Hï Ibiza on 5TH September joining Cera Khin and Gray Cosmo.

Dubfire and Flug partner up on ‘In Trance’ to deliver a pacy, chugging composition fraught with cosmic tension throughout. A brewing concoction of galactic undertones and driving grooves, the track embodies the heady trance spirit present in much of ARTCORE’s back catalogue whilst still retaining the darker styles of its creators.

Prolific producer Marco Faraone is credited with over 50 releases on a host of key electronic record labels such as Rekids, Drumcode as well as his own UNCAGE imprint. However, his contribution to the forthcoming DUO release will be the first outing for the Tuscan-born house and techno maestro on Indira’s ARTCORE. His opening track, ‘Killa’ stalks into existence in cold and calculated fashion. An undeniable creeper, it features a dark low-end that methodically develops amidst a sparce soundscape of marching drum patterns, churning bass chords and simmering pad effects.

Marco’s second track on the EP titled ‘Artcore Sessions’, pays homage to the label’s ethos. Employing the vocal talents of H.A.N whose sonorous vocals bob along upon swells of shadowy synth lines, choppy percussive drive and kick heavy breakdowns.

Flug first appeared on ARTCORE in 2024 with his track ‘Racing Cars’. That same year, the Argentine released Magma EP with Dubfire marking the pair’s first collaboration and precursor to their debut DUO release. In August, he also made his debut for Indira’s residency at Hï Ibiza playing alongside Ben Klock, Clara Cuvé, and Nuke.

The second collab track with Dubfire, which also closes out this talent heavy EP comes in the form of ‘Weightless’. They both fuse tensely wound rhythms, off-kilter chords and serene pad effects to concoct a breezy, gravity defying composition that showcases both producer’s ability to craft nuanced electronic music to rival that of the more pummelling.
