Over Ya Head

In this life, there are times when certain things will happen and you may never know/understand why it all had to happen the way that it did (or why it had to happen at all for that matter). 



These days, I've been more stuck than I've ever been in my entire life. I mean that literally; I feel like I've been living an ongoing nightmare that I still can't seem to wake up from. I've been having my own personal episodes when I'm alone, never really sleeping right, always trying to piece together answers to questions that I may never figure out, and etc. it's just been difficult. 

I went on a hiatus, and what I've come to make myself understand is that it's not always for me to know/understand what I want to (or feel like I need to) know/understand. Sometimes it may just not be my moment to have it all come together, and in some cases it may never come together for me.

As cliché as it sounds, the creator moves in mysterious ways. We won't always be able to comprehend those ways, but we have to learn to accept them (if we haven't already). In a sense, this darker period of my life has forced me to pay more mind to the positive aspects of my existence rather than the negative ones. I hope this helps you do the same.

Two weeks prior to writing this song, on March 26th 2017 a close friend of mine was killed. 
Through all that you go through in life you have to tap into that energy.. Whatever that may be for you; in my case it is the energy and spirit that my friend had. Use that to keep pushing, and keep moving  forward. He gave so many people the best reason to be their best. I have to be Victorious in all that I do. I realized that I have to live for the ones I've lost, the ones still here, and myself.
