Maikol Knight a.k.a Don Maze competed in his first DJ Battle in 2003 and continued to actively compete until representing his hometown at the Swedish DMC DJ Mastership in 2005. He left the turntablism scene and started DJing the music he was passioned about, early 80’s Disco, Funk and Boogie in clubs and bars around Stockholm where he then was residing. For places such as East, Lokal, Bauer, Bruno Gallerian and brands as Adidas. 
He later decided to move to Amsterdam where he became a resident DJ at Kashmir Lounge, playing for H&M and at De Baile. After some years of studies and focusing on entrepreneurship now back in his hometown he got asked to perform again thinking it belonged to the past but it actually brought back the passion of mixing and giving people new sounds. 
Now the sound evolved from the 80’s music into House music with influences from Disco and Chicago House.

Saavedra Sound is a unique music production house based in Gothenburg, Sweden. Founded by Cristian Saavedra, a veteran of the international music scene with decades of experience, we specialize in organizing and coordinating musical events of all sizes and types. With an emphasis on quality and style, our vision is to create unforgettable musical and visual experiences. 

At Saavedra Sound, we use our international connections to bring the best sounds and styles from around the globe to Scandinavia. Our flagship project is the "Unique" project, Cristian Saavedra and AfroNova. Afronova a Latin-Afro House genre that has been gaining a lot of attention. Additionally, we have been working with the city of Gothenburg to provide music courses, DJ courses, and other music education projects to support young talents during the pandemic.

We strive to make every event a memorable experience, and work hard to ensure that all our projects are marked by excellence, quality and style. Our mission is to give music enthusiasts and aspiring artists the opportunity to discover, create and explore new sounds and styles, and to share and enjoy them with the world.

Been playing since 1999. Love all House Music as long as it is Funky. Deep, Tech, Vocal, Old School, Soulful and some NuDisco, Indie Dance & Techno as well as long as it moves me.
