Closing out the package is “Key Activation”, a dark garage number built for hazy London basements. An ode to the Return Of Clubbing™ from a musical shapeshifter.

Just two years on from its inception, @kindergartenrecords reaches its tenth release, a landmark occasion for the NYC label and crew founded by @masha-ny. Who better then, to celebrate this anniversary, than @drvmmy. The NYC-based producer was the first to release on the label back in May 2020, and the intricate chaos of his production work is emblematic of the label’s commitment to maximum propulsion on the dancefloor. With 'Double Stop', Drummy dials up the energy while delving into a deep, dark sound palette. The EP heaves and crashes throughout, playing with texture with a maximalist approach.

CDMUSIC009 - the next instalment in our electro VA series.

This eclectic collection of tracks showcases the talents of both emerging and established artists, drawing heavy inspiration from the legendary Detroit and Chicago electro scenes.

Our previous release was designed around peak time music and this new pack lends itself to the more experimental and heady side of the genre. If CDMUSIC008 was the party, this is the after-party.

CDMUSIC009 captures the pulsating energy and innovative soundscapes that have defined the genre for decades. Each artist on the compilation brings their unique perspective, blending classic electro elements with contemporary production techniques to create a sonic experience that is both nostalgic and forward-thinking.

With tracks by Greazus, Footclan, label boss Sharkki and a handful of new comers, listeners can expect a journey through the rich tapestry of Detroit & Chicago electro history, paying tribute to the visionaries who paved the way while introducing exciting new voices to the genre.

INGI (@leshlingi) returns to Scuffed Recordings with four new intricately-crafted club tracks on his Shaker EP.

Icelandic-born, London-based INGI first appeared on Scuffed in 2022 with his Fade EP, an exploration of breaks, percussion and bass weight which saw support from the likes of object blue, Surgeon, Breaka, and Manami.

Since then, INGI has honed his skills as an artist and DJ, as a co-founder of London party and label Elastics, and resident at “your favourite festival’s favourite festival” Floorless. INGI’s sound is a love letter to the London and Manchester scenes that he came up in, flitting between UK club influences but impossible to pin down to one sound alone.

INGI - Hoggs

NYC’s Twist crew extend their multi-faceted operations with the launch of their eponymously titled label. Texan DivPro inaugurates the imprint with TWIST001, an EP of rudest 2-step and 8-bar grime gut punches including a collaboration with London MC Renz.

Kicking off proceedings, 'Punishment' rolls deep on a sharp 2 stepper with modern flair, tussling its proto influences amongst a melee of phat sines and movie samples. 'Datt Way' switches up for an ice-cold heater, a proper furious 8 bar roller of tough drum work sealed with a phenomenal vocal turn from London MC-on-the-rise Renz. 'RMT' hybridises the lot, seesawing a devious dialogue between garage swing, dubstep skank and pulsing toms. 'Reduvia' claps back for the closer, its grimey inclinations wobbling amongst a tense stuttering of kicks and basslines.

"Dimension X" is an expansive, high-concept techno journey that delves into the unknown layers of space, time, and human perception. The track is structured like a multidimensional portal — each sonic phase peeling back a new layer of reality. With its alien-like synths, granular textures, and deep, spatial reverbs, it immediately evokes the sensation of stepping into a realm that exists beyond the familiar.

Pierre (Bob) Stephan constructs the soundscape with precision: the opening is atmospheric and suspenseful, like the calm before entering a wormhole. As the rhythm builds, glitch-infused percussion and morphing low-end frequencies form a gravitational core that pulls the listener deeper into the auditory experience. Harmonic dissonance and eerie modulations suggest that this is not just a musical space, but a dimension with its own logic — unpredictable, futuristic, and beautifully disorienting.

"Dimension X" challenges the boundaries of conventional techno. It’s cinematic, abstract, and philosophical — ideal for listeners seeking immersion rather than repetition. This track stands as an audio exploration of otherness, time dilation, and the human impulse to understand the incomprehensible.

Drawat's "Gude Huse" (released July 1st, 2025) is a masterclass in minimalist electronic music, blending breaks with subtle yet effective electro influences. The track immediately sets a laid-back, chilled-out mood, perfect for unwinding or a relaxed late-night session.

At its core are the distinctive 808 drum machine beats, which lay down a solid, unhurried rhythm that's both grounding and groovy. These beats are complemented by a chill, dubbish chord piano, which drifts in and out, adding a hazy, atmospheric layer to the soundscape. It’s the kind of piano work that feels both improvisational and perfectly placed.

Underneath it all, a techno bassline provides a subtle, driving pulse. It's not aggressive or overpowering; instead, it offers a deep, resonant foundation that keeps the track moving forward without disrupting its overall tranquility. The beauty of "Gude Huse" lies in its minimalist approach. Each element is carefully chosen and given space to breathe, contributing to a cohesive and captivating listening experience without ever feeling cluttered.
