Inspired by the guiding radiance of a hidden protector, the EP weaves compassion and swiftness through shimmering melodies and potent low-end. Assembling basslines triggered on the edge of recognition, break-infused rhythms and psychedelic trance motifs, echoing the ambiguous state of being not-quite-here, not-quite-there.

Rawting's forthcoming debut EP 'On One'.

A three-track EP, exploring Rawting's signature style of bouncy, tom-heavy, percussive-led techno and deep, heavy-hitting breaks accented with chopped vocals.

Kicking the EP off is the title track, 'On One'. As the name suggests, it delivers the vibe of being on a mad one... A deep, driving, breakbeat stomper with some baddie vocals to match.

Re-Up is a bit of a homage to Rawting's hometown, London. After relocating to Naarm/Melbourne, he wanted to sonically capture a memory of nights had in London's most iconic parties and clubs. A bouncy techno track with some signature breaks snuck in, keeping in line with the EP. This track features a London Mix, along with a little easter-egg for those with keen eyes/ears/minds ;)

Rounding out the EP is Tagteam, another heavy-hitting breaks track intended for peak-time-play when you really want to heat things up. With this tune, he aimed to pay a subtle nod to his adolescence spent in DnB raves, incorporating wobbly basses and foghorns commonly found in rollers, but translated into a techno/breaks sphere.

With a key focus on breaks and low-end club-ready dancefloor weapons, this EP cements Rawting's production style and delivers a taste of his growing capabilities as an emerging producer.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

TWIENA is an emerging DJ and producer from the Netherlands who calls Amsterdam home. Known for her sensually bouncy yet deeply hypnotic sets, a distinctive fusion of techno, trance, and international club sounds, she is a resident at Club RAUM and has recently played distant clubs like Savage in Hanoi, Berghain in Berlin, and Bassiani in Tbilisi.


ABOUT THE SOUND

“Phải Đi Chùa (Must Go to the Temple)” is a personal piece from TWIENA, created during a profoundly emotional time, sampling vocals from a monk who had significance in her life. When she was approached for this project, it offered the perfect opportunity to include a sound intimately connected to her heart and roots. In this track, TWIENA channels her inner path and the way music can carry listeners forward, while deliberately contrasting the solemn conservativeness of a temple with the liberating spirit of nightlife.


ABOUT THE COMPILATION

No One Magazine is a print publication about underground queer nightlife around the world. Each issue takes readers to a different city’s queer scene, featuring communities and collectives who promote connection and identity building through electronic music.

To accompany ISSUE 02: No One in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, we invited seven Vietnamese queer artists—from these two cities, alongside their diasporic counterparts from Amsterdam, Rotterdam, and New York City—to tap into that spirit and interpret the Vietnamese phrase “Đi Đi Đi” through their own sonic language.

“Đi Đi Đi” is a staple of everyday Vietnamese speech, translating to “Go Go Go.” More than just a command, this phrase is a spark, a playful yet urgent push to move faster, go harder, and get it done. It encapsulates not only the pace of Vietnamese life, which inspires much of its underground sound, but also the scene’s collective drive for freedom.

100% of revenue from this record's sales and streaming go directly to A Queer Museum, Vietnam’s first collective queer-feminist archiving space, supporting their work to document LGBTQIA+ history, host community-led events, and strengthen grassroots initiatives by sharing resources such as venue space, communications, and community support.

"3000 E Grand" pays homage to Detroit’s musical legacy not only through the sound but also the namesake address (3000 E Grand Blvd. is the address of the Underground Resistance headquarters and Submerge records), where @ccrystalnev and @detroitbureauofsound recorded the beginnings of the track. Its mixture of driving dusty drum computing and melancholic chords clearly nods to the sound of classic Detroit labels such as 430 West, Transmat or Underground Resistance.
