Luke Fowler - Everything Is Permitted(5/3/21)

Sound Artist and field recordist from Belgium. I'm researching the phenomenology of sound, or how we give meaning to sound, and the sonic characteristics of spaces and places. I make installations, soundscapes, concerts and do sound design for dance, theatre and film. On my soundcloud I mostly upload the pure recordings, but I do digress as well.

eamon sprod explores re-contextualised found sounds and tactile gestures formed into dynamic, psycho-geographical compositions inspired by discarded things, found things, crawling around in the dirt, junk, the ground, rocks, dust, wind, walking aimlessly, scratchy things, decay and most if not all the things he hears and sees.

More than simply documenting a given site, tarab is interested in a direct engagement with our surrounds, teasing out half narratives, visceral sensation, false leads and heightened awareness.

These are my tracks which I work into my sets. After playing them in clubs over the years, I'll then go back and remix or remaster them.

I strongly object to soundcloud using AI to steal our creativity. I do mastering myself, and I will never use AI for music / mastering.

I am a sound recordist/artist/designer currently producing audio-montages and compositions that explore the intersection of architecture, psychoacoustics, social-dynamics and place. My works are constructed primarily from un-mixed and un-edited environmental sound recordings, which I capture using a mixture of straight, extended and oblique recording techniques – probing the various unheard material realities, angles and perspectives of a given sound event, as well as providing a tactile space that has surface, texture and reflection, whereby the listener is sensitised to hearing as if it were touch. Through employing a technologically limited (recording focused) work methodology, I am driven to find inventive recording techniques that re-contextualise my surroundings as well as inspire fresh and idiosyncratic compositional approaches pertinent to the places, situations and events I encounter.

Mark Vernon is a Glasgow based sound artist who works with found tapes and acousmatic presence. His work explores themes of magnetic memory, audio archaeology, voyeurism and nostalgia. 

His solo music projects have been published through labels including Kye, Glistening Examples, Flaming Pines, Misanthropic Agenda, Gagarin, Sonoris, Granny, Psychetropes, Persistence of Sound, Flag Day, Entr’acte, Discrepant, Futura Resistenza, Vice de Forme, Calling Cards and Canti Magnetici. 

He co-runs and curates Glasgow art radio station, Radiophrenia and has produced programmes for stations internationally.
