Interactive music composer / researcher / technologist, Phivos-Angelos Kollias is focusing his creative interest in applying innovative music technologies into music projects performed by musicians and algorithms for Interactive Music Performances, Virtual Reality Installations or Video Games. 

His music background is rooted in instrumental classical studies, including a PhD in interactive music composition (University Paris VIII), yet his music taste ranges from electronic music, rock/metal to noise and experimental music. He has studied composition in Cambridge (BA), London (MA) and Paris (PhD & DEA & MA) with the economic support of four foundations, and he currently lives and composes in Berlin. 

His music has received seven awards and nine nominations in international competitions, while the group projects he has participated in have won ten awards and distinctions.

He is actively participating with music composition, music performance and sound design in an exploratory approach of the music dramaturgy in theater. His music oscilates freely between instrumental - vocal and electroacoustic - acousmatic. He has collaborated many times with Greek National Theater and the Greek Festival. He is co-founder and resident composer in the Theseum Ensemble of Athens

Born in 1989, and lives in Montreal.  Kevin Gironnay creates acousmatic and mixed music, produces music for sound installations, videos and dance, and performs improvised music, in solo or collaborations.

His work is focused on taming chaotic elements into musical contents by using conceptual or concrete processes, hence his love for improvisation. He is also dedicated to shaping musical ideas in the micro and macro domains, hence his love for composition.

As sound engineer and radio art enthusiast and practitioner, his relationship with sound as a medium is a happy marriage, still filled with passion and everyday amazement. And he still tries to believe the feeling is mutual. Sound is his first and main material and musicality his artistic purpose.

Kevin Gironnay completed a master’s degree in composition with Nicolas Bernier, and has also been influenced by the teaching of Christine Groult, Horacio Vaggione, Denis Dufour, Jacopo Baboni Schilingi, Lorenzo Bianchi and Giacomo Platini. His music has been played in Canada, China, United States and throughout Europe.

In 2016, Kevin Gironnay founded the improvised music band Ensemble ILÉA.  He is also an active member of the collective Unmapped and the band QUADr.  He is an affiliate member of CIRMMT (Center for Interdisciplinary Research in Music, Media and Technology).

Berlin-based musician and producer Matthias Grübel mainly works as a composer soundtracking theatre productions. Over the years the sound of his solo projects has morphed into a moving and ambitious blend of contemporary electronic music on the one side and the more experimental textures rooted in his stage music work on the other - always with a strong focus on a
'listening' approach.  2020 sees the release of a new single and EP via TruthTable Records.
