The B-side of this humorously titled release is hands down one of my favourite tracks of all time, and definitely my favourite Levon Vincent creation. One of the few records that I can honestly say is well worth the high marketplace price, though I hope my copy gives me years of play! There's really no fitting description for this shifting chugger; it's a totally melodic and dubby slice of techno with a nice, subtle tinge of house-y-ness. It keeps going and going, with every element in its perfect place. Lots of reverb and warped sounds that build a series of layered loops from some ultimately quite simple components. For me that's the mark of perfection: a fugue-like cycle that plays on a perfect kick, bass drum, etc. And did I mention there are some VERY fat synth chords? Oh, and I just listened to it again and must add that there are some sweet pitched up lasers. I've always had a soft spot for the sound of lasers! Mmmmmm, Woman Is The Devil indeed.

Rob Booth steps up in Hour 1 with a mix celebrating 2 years of the excellent Houndstooth record label, where he heads up A & R and he also runs the well respected Electronic explorations podcast. Another Falty DL Solid Steel intro starts the show and Rob had this to say about his mix;
“I wanted to present the mix in two parts, the Solid Steel way. The 1st half showcases repertoire primarily from the 1st eighteen months, no better way than starting with our inaugural record, the Present Tense 12” by Call Super, such an exciting artist culminating with his recent critically acclaimed debut album. Of course I also had to include a few tracks from the Soul Music LP, Paul Woolford’s Special Request moniker, especially the Hackney Parrot VIP, coupled with the polished jungle/techno experimentalism of Akkord and the 160bpm mosaic of Throwing Snow.
As the mix enters the 2nd half the emphasis moves to our latest signings, Berlin based Marquis Hawkes, Norwegian duo Soft as Snow and LA duo 18+, who’ve kept us busy this past year with the mix concluding with Jassy Graz on vocals, a personal favourite, was so good to see Ross and Jassy invited to Maida Vale LIVE for Radio 1. I can’t stress enough the privilege of being on SS, I’ve been archiving these shows for so long now”

This hot new Local Talk release from Dirtytwo comes in two versions. The original version clocks in at over 10 min with a Robin S styled bassline, deep chords and thumping beats. Australian producer Deepchild drops the second single ‘No Disgrace’ from his new album ‘Lifetime’, a dub heavy slab of techno soul featuring the vocals of Barbados-born MC Ras Roni with the usual intricate programming found in all Deepchild productions. 

On the A-side Jimpster under his Audiomontage guise delivers a remix he concedes to be “fucking slamming, maybe one of my best yet” combining a stripped back techno structure with chunky rolling bass and heavy soul in a devastating dancefloor weapon. Deepchild’s original is equally at home at London’s Co-Op or Vienna’s Dub Club as it is rocking the floors in Aus while Always and Forever shows more of the flavour from the album with a dose of his trademark rich melodic deepness.
