q. pls introduce yourself 
a. I’m Seán, a musician from Dublin, Ireland, currently in London. I make music solo and in the group Princ€ss, among other collaborations. A friend of the living room angels :)

q. is there a story behind the mix? 
a. It’s based around this James Tenney string composition that runs throughout, a simple exercise in beating around a tonal centre. I really love how it interacts with other music so thought it would be fun to use as a backbone under some new and old songs. 3 years after yous first asked !

q. what’s the best way to enjoy your mix? 
a. I enjoyed listening on public transport

q. describe a favorite object in your living room... 
a. The TV <3 for the group activity it provokes

q. are you working on any projects right now (music or not music)?
a. Slowly trying to put together new solo material for release after a couple of years of other things. And enjoying playing bass for some friends:)

Across 21 tracks, Water Bodies spans a post-genre miasma of ethereal mermaid music, cathartic flows, and glistening sibilants ~ each one an exquisite message-in-a-bottle of deep diving emotionality. Pulling from a wide-range of musical perspectives ~ field recording, lovesick ballads, shimmering downtempo, post-party comedown, and percolating ambient ~ the compilation contains multitudes yet maintains deep sentimental coherence. Like a wave crashing in slow motion, it sonifies possible ways of being, insisting on the porous, the interdependent, and the deep and unruly. Water Bodies reminds us that home is a body made of water, to which we all belong.
