The last time we spoke to Shanti Celeste she teased us of an upcoming double-header release. Now that she's ready to deliver this pair of aural treats to your ears, we've made sure that we're able to bring you one half of the record before anyone else. We're super-keen, right?

This particular half, entitled 'Lumi', is quite simply an absolutely stomping techno track that's sure to set your speaker on fire. Metaphorically. Probably. It'll be out in the near future via her Bristolian label Brstl but, because we know you're impatient, here's your chance to give 'Lumi' a spin.

Ignite My Groove does what it says it will do: ignite your groove. Right from the off, it launches in with a synth rhythm that promises a great deal. This builds until it hits the drop, which fires up anything that isn’t fired up already, and is complete with the same powerful synth melody that opens the track before the initial rhythm sets in, with not just one but two guitars, which both harmonise with each other.

Following their appearance on Dimensions Recordings’ debut release, the three part compilation ‘An Introduction’, with the twisted ‘Crosstalk’, London Modular Alliance step up to the plate with their first full EP for the label.  

The ‘Hands & Brains EP’ further demonstrates the skills that the London based trio are becoming renowned for.  As the minds behind the fantastic London Modular store in London specialising in modular equipment, often supplied to a host of well known musician, it’s unsurprising to hear that the guys are serious gear heads, what is surprising is the quality and consistency of their growing output! 

Across four tracks the London Modular Alliance team demonstrate their complete mastery of the electro form with four varied cuts.  From the breaky, bubbling, modern acid of lead track, ‘Hands & Brains’ to the Drexciyan underwater inspirations of the closing track, ‘Forbidden’ and the brooding machine drone of ‘I Settled for Her Leftovers’,  it’s clear that the future of the genre belongs to London Modular Alliance and it’s in very safe hands…

Carl Finlow - Unconditional | CKNOWEP12

Prolific Dutch producer Boris Bunnik wears several hats: Conforce, Silent Harbour and Vernon Felicity, but some of his most exciting music is produced under the Versalife alias where he delves deep into the electro sound. He makes his debut here for Leeds institution 20/20 Vision with "Machine Life", taking the classic electro sound further but with a modern twist. 

We're going deep underwater on the moody title track, before coming up for air via the soulful android funk of "MO5". On the flip, the eerie dystopian themes continue on the sombre "Monospace" and the seething reductionist electro-bass of "Axion".

A brew of rumbling bass lines, ecstatic dreams, rattling rave signals and moving melodies that is as sapid as it is substantial. Consisting of four tracks (and one dub), Dusky further cement their reputation of being champions of their (production) craft and the dance floor alike. While „Fridge“, „Seed Tray“ and „Mushroom Samba“ lower the plough with DJs and steppers in mind, „Metropolis“ ennobles itself to a higher stand: with or without voice, it is a sophisticated and divinely inspired master class in a perfect hook (bleeps) and eye (bass). And a gentle reminder: function and beauty don’t have to exclude each other.

Despite his name Señor Chugger (@senorchugger) is a young British producer : “I just liked Señor instead of Mister 😀”. This is how he describes himself : “Forged in the darkness of a Welsh basement, Señor Chugger was born through a caustically potent passion for Chug, Italo & EBM.”

He dropped earlier this year a promising Ep full of italo / nu disco with a twist of English funkyness on top, on Moustache (@david-vunk), the records label from David Vunk that has been putting out quality stuff regularly for a while now.

Señor Chugger will release more stuff as soon as he gets a new computer. Here is his 716 Mix for now, just on time to celebrate the end of the containment here in France : some italo-ish, balear-ish, nu-disco-ish melting pot in the middle of which you can find a Colombian and a French tracks.
