Wiltshire-born, Manchester-based Tom Jarmey (aka Ocean Stirs and one half of Mother Of Pearls) delivers the second chapter in his latest project, Wing Theory. Following releases on Holding Hands, Lobster Theremin and Dansu Discs, whilst garnering attention from the likes of Four Tet, Bicep, Jossy Mitsu, Anz and Or:la, Jarmey’s latest EP explores brand new territory in an eclectic mix of both dance-centric and home-listening tracks.

Spanning 9 minutes, EP opener ‘Heated Silence’ takes the listener on an off-kilter, synth-laden journey through peak-time crescendos and fuzzy ambience.

Accompanying the Wing Theory project is a bespoke visual identity created by María Medem—forging the look of each record, Medem’s artwork creates a beautiful, tangible world for the music. Analogue mastering by Curve Pusher.

Awhile ago this song came about right before i started working on the song "Señales"
I had pitched this track to a few labels and one person really gave way to the track to a degree where i felt that hitting up a label at all just wasn't for me. I was just going to be burdened with this strong desire to make music and throw it into the wind hoping someone would find me one day. My will to work and my fear of not being able to work clash clandestinely from track to track up until i met this quote by Abloh. 
When you find someone who is a philosopher as well as an artist like only our time can produce, you'll know the feeling. It's like finding clean water while being lost and dehydrated inside Chernobyl. 

I decided to release this song and dedicate it to Mr. Abloh for everything he's done for me and the fledgling visual artist, the psuedo dj, and especially the kid in the back of class bangin on his desk to whatever's in his head.

Cause all of those people were me.
Hell, they're probably even you,
and I hope you never lose sight of who you are because you can meet some really beautiful people that way.

After a run of highly sought after V/A releases, Fragments Of Reality, curated by Luther Vine, comes of age with its first solo artist EP courtesy of Snad. 

Shyam Anand aka Snad is a hot house producer based in Berlin whose quickly racked up a host of respected output for Chicago’s Kimochi Records, Chez Damier’s Courtesy of Balance and Tristan Da Cunha & Brawther’s Dungeon Meat imprint. Snad produces stripped back Chicago house tracks punctuated by heavily swung drums and staccato synths. 

There is indeed inspiration behind the beats from Chez Damier & Ron Trent’s classic Prescription Underground days but Snad oozes originality and effortless creates music for modern dance floors full of energy, bounce and groove. 

A1 ’Bootlickerz’ takes the lead spot as a fully firing techno workout with relentless drum programming that has shows Snads calibre with finesse and inventiveness to please the most discerning ear while rocking the spot. ‘Gubernatorial Candidacy’ then packs bags of positivity and energy onto the vinyl as a swinging hypnotic workout that fuses pedigree sounds with a slamming arrangement. 

Flip your wax and get a fill of Per Savour. The depth here is immense and the dazzling roll of events is littered with abundance of micro sounds that tantalate all who have come under the spell of the track’s mighty groove. The record is beautifully finished with But Heads, a wonderful nod of respect to Berlin’s after hours scene, the track whips up an elegant, enigmatic sound with laters of deep pads, dreamy chords, and brazen drum programming.
