NonRev steps back onto Codename with his latest release, the 'Petrol Nights' EP,  a six-track journey full of atmosphere, emotion and some serious drum science.

Things kick off with 'Fell Apart', a lush amen workout that blends deep, moody strings with tough breaks. Then 'Intrinsic Grey' rolls in with a darker, more reflective vibe, all cinematic keys and slick drum edits that give it real depth.

'Nano Technology' switches the mood again, bringing bright, uplifting chords over driving, techy rhythms that keep things moving. The title track, 'Petrol Nights', feels like a late-night drive to nowhere, a bit eerie, a bit beautiful... 
the perfect soundtrack for the comedown hours after a heavy one.

'Sensations' brings a warmer energy into the mix, with subtle brass touches, smooth Rhodes and shuffling, detailed percussion that pulls you right in. Finally, the EP wraps with 'Forgot To Breathe', a standout moment where NonRev brings his own vocals into the mix over a gorgeous, guitar-led backdrop.

NonRev 'Petrol Nights' [Codename: RCRDS]

I've got another session for you guys and gals to check out, it's a wide reaching mix with plenty of depth and flavor. Ranging from vocal and lyricist centered tunes to rollers, liquid, atmospheric, and amen with some darker undertones. This was a freestyle session I laid down last night, actually was planning to just relax and take it easy but some situations with the AC got me aggravated so I decided to take that energy out on the decks and I'm glad I did. Some long mixes and some quick mixing with a pretty wide selection of track types. Starts off with a dope tune from Drs and Bou off the B-Sides Mixtape which drops off into another smooth major key track called Homecoming from Above & Beyond, both tracks compliment each other well and set the frame for this section of the mix. It's a storytelling style session which is my creative sweet spot and the type of mixing I enjoy the most. Anyways, it was fun to lay down and I'm not so worried about that AC anymore..Haha

Got a special one for you this week guys, did a bit of organization over the last several weeks which I usually don't have time to do with all these kids running around but I should take the time more often, my more creative stuff just falls into place when I do. A nice story telling journey for this one, quick mixes and flowing vibe shifts on the front end, a bit of an electronica intermission, then delve into a bit of atmospheric and jungle on the back end. Some tunes from the homie Nichenka Zoryana, DuoScience, DA TU, Mineral, long time favorite MC Drs and several tracks off the Codename:RCRDS label. It's a nice, well rounded session with lots of twists and turns to keep things interesting. Flipper returns to Codename with his first full length EP for the label, which perfectly demonstrates this incredible artist's unique and flowing multi-instrumental fusion of ethnic vibes with jungle and Drum and Bass rhythms.

Opener ΙΩPOLIS brings you mythical Eastern Mediterranean soundscapes, fusing ancient instruments such as the duduk and santur. Five minutes of non-repetitive electronic music that will captivate and enchant any dance floor.

'Jungle Takes You' drives things into a different direction with its darkcore / junglism influences alongside hypnotic leads, deep strings and rolling breaks.

The second half of the EP looks towards remixes, with Flipper's remix of Toni Bassi's 'Junak' seamlessly adding Greek flavours to the existing Indian mix, before Moakz contributes the melancholic 'Breaking Your System' remix of Flippers 'Don't Blame', a full tailspin of a rework, both evoking memories of classic era 90's hardcore and also packed with emotional punch.]
