Part 2 of the ‘Drifting…’ trilogy of releases, ‘Keys For A Drifting Rose EP’ is the fourth release on Codename: RCRDS, the new label from Southampton-based jungle, 160 and atmospheric crew Codename: Amen. 

Keys For A Drifting Rose commences with ‘The One’ by the atmos master Okee, a dreamy inward looking roller for the ages, alternating haunting vocals perfectly capturing feelings of post-rave isolation. Man of the moment Mineral returns to the label with ‘Shallow’, contrasting chopped breaks, atmospheric tones and deep rumbling basses in a beautiful example of his truly unique sound.

Next up we find the prolific NonRev in commanding form, with the mysterious and powerful roller ‘Private Eye’, perfectly primed to get dancefloors moving with it’s rumbling basslines, intricate drum edits and catchy vocals, before the EP closes with Bottoni's fascinating reworking of ‘Shallow’, where a half-time rhythm is interspersed with the breakbeat choppage and atmospherics of Mineral’s original, clearly demonstrating the talents of this unique and talent artist.

14/5/17 - Update: Just bought myself a nice new laptop to hopefully get into making some tracks again :)

Dabbled with making a couple of tunes years ago with no experience or knowledge of making music, which is probably very evident!

Fell in love with hardcore (and then jungle and drum and bass as it evolved) in 1992 when I heard it on a pirate radio station for the very first time, and have been listening to it ever since. Was a DJ on Magic FM 101.4 in 1994 until the station got busted :(

Been a DJ / audio editor for 45 yrs of my life. I enjoy everyday. Short & simple.

Being a DJ/Producer isn’t just about the music anymore. These days.. Staying relevant means constantly creating content, engaging, and keeping up with a dam algorithm.
To be honest with you, it's bloody exhausting. I didn’t get into this to spend hours figuring out how to “perform” for social media.
I got into this because I love music! The time I spend stressing over posts is time I could be spending making tracks, mixing down my music and refining my skills as a producer.
But if you don’t post, you risk fading away and being forgotten. It’s a cycle that can be draining...and honestly, my heart really just isn’t in it right now.
It hasn't been for a while and I'm really struggling with it. I know I’m not the only one who feels this way.
This kind of pressure can take the joy out of what we love. So if you see me posting less, please just know..
I’m still here, still creating, still putting my energy where it really matters.. into the music! 
So much Big love to everyone who supports me for the art, not just the algorithm.

Most of my tracks I upload to SoundCloud are mastered on a professional and are watermarked demos for all you beautiful people to listen too. When I start to get a few more finished I will start to share to the world via Spotify and other leading platforms when the time is right!
