‘The Night Ravers’ is the first release on Codename: RCRDS, the new label from Southampton-based jungle, 160 and atmospheric crew Codename: Amen. The release and label channel the energy of the 90’s rave era, pushing the sound forward into exciting new directions for 2023.

Moakz’s original mix marks a movement away from his previous atmospheric and jazz jungle releases, and towards his hardcore roots. Now complemented by storming remixes from the incredible RAVETRX (HooverSound, forthcoming Club Glow), and the release closes out with the superbly talented NonRev and rising star Cold Leader delivering innovative reworks, with this EP provides a marker of intent for the label and collective artists.

Following on from ‘Hollow World EP’ is the fifth release on Codename: RCRDS, the new label from Southampton-based jungle, 160 and atmospheric crew Codename: Amen. 

The EP opens with a Codename debut for highly talented young duo Missen, where a sedate rhodes intro gradually evolves into a warped bass-driven stepper guaranteed to tear up any dancefloor.

Trident delivers the hypnotic roller ‘Far Away Dreams’, a stunning track which should find homes in both atmospheric and jungle circles, before the EP closes out with the prolific NonRev contributing the tough beats and warped bass of the deep rolling ‘Wretched Of The Earth’.

Ten years deep and still levelling up. RMS & Jaybee Drum & Bass partnership was born in a freezing Chicago basement, sparked by a weekend session and a shared love of hip-hop, turntablism, and that gritty late-90s Drum & Bass flavour. Fast forward a decade, and this transatlantic tag team is rolling out not one, but two stone-cold heaters on Dispatch Recordings as part of the label’s heritage-focused 'Dispatch Blueprints' series.

'Blueprint 1' and 'Blueprint 2' are straight-up masterclasses in stripped-back funk, raw drum edits, and heavyweight basslines built to pressure dark rooms and concrete floors. This is where smoky jazz licks meet gully subs. Where old-school sensibilities flex with modern weight. Where both producers’ distinct sounds melt into something that feels as timeless as it is fresh.

With a back catalogue already respected by heads across the scene, these EPs feel like a peak moment. No gimmicks. No filler. Just pure, heads-down business. You can hear the depth of the collab in every tune. From the snap of the snares to the hypnotic low-end, it’s clear this has been brewed over years, not months.

RMS, the Canadian veteran with deep roots in atmospheric rollers. Jaybee, the Florida-born selector with a reputation for razor-sharp breaks and stateside swagger. Together, they’ve found a groove that’s both nostalgic and next level.

These are tunes built for low-ceiling basements, long sets, and those sweaty 4am warehouse rewinds. A true fit for the Dispatch Blueprints ethos and an essential pickup for any DJ with taste.
