God created DJ's to bring music to bring joy to others. Using music as a creative expression to  one’s emotions. I  am truly blessed to help others! I've been djying for almost 5 years but have been in the culture for 25+ years. Growing up listening to artists like Sharaz, Icee, Santana, Rick West, Magic Mike, Fbi, etc. Those don't even scratch the surface to pioneers of Breakbeats. I have a bona fide passion for mixing beats. I'm not genre-exclusive by any means.  I've been in the scene since the glory days of the 90's. I never had a real interest in mixing but, while living in Key West, FL, a good friend recognized untapped talent in me to which I was blind. Furthermore, she introduced me to the world of mixing music and I never looked back. Fast forward about 15 years later here in 2021 & I feel as though I am now at the point where I can potentially make a career out of it. While I spin all styles of music, I prefer electronic music including Florida Breakbeats, Miami Bass, Vocal Trance,  Anthem Trance, Epic/Uplifting Trance, Progressive Trance, Techno, Tech House, Tribal House, Tribal Tech House, Progressive House, Big Room House, Funky House, Deep/Soulful House, Disco House and Bass House/G-House. I'm sure I'm missing a few but you get the gist. Oh, and living in the ATL, I can't forget Hip Hop. I'm pretty sure that's a prerequisite for DJ's in this city.....to be able to spin Hip Hop. My influences include DJ Paul Santana of Tampa, who I consider a personal friend, DJ Kre-8, DJ Debbie D, Lange, Above & Beyond/Oceanlab, DJ Peter Worth, DJ Icey, Baby Anne, Suzy Solar, Armin Van Buuren, Dash Berlin, Markus Schulz, Carl Cox, Erick Morillo (RIP), Rabbit in the Moon (Monk, Confucius & Bunny). Jackal & Hyde, JimitheGenius, Merlyn, Stryke, Josh Wink, Sandra Collins and the list could go on and on. I currently have no plans to produce Electronic Music. I've just found that I have the ability to read a crowd and select the track that always seems to get them moving. Then again, I never expected to be a DJ either so I hesitate to completely rule anything out. Code Rising is an American Electro duo that was formed in 2010 and consists of Matt Lancaster (South Carolina) and Ryan Phillips (South Florida). Over the years, Code Rising has shared the stage and worked with some of the biggest names in the Electro music scene; performing live mainly in Miami and the surrounding Florida coasts.

After a healthy line of digital releases on Monotone Records from 2010-2013, the duo saw the release of their first full-length CD "Dissemination Protocol" on their own label, Propulsion Recordings. 2021 saw the largest release from the duo yet; "A Spectral Odyssey" was released digitally via BandCamp with a whopping 18 track playlist. Accounting for original and collaborative work, the duo have more than several 12" EP releases in their catalogue. Most of the Code's discography can be found on Soundcloud and Bandcamp!
