Italian duo Orion are back, consistently offering their trademark warmth. This release on Dutch label Far Blue is another testament to their talent and deep love for what they do, and a perfect third release for this community-driven label. The EP will be available to purchase in vinyl and digital formats at the end of April.

The opening track on the EP, Her, evokes a whimsical, warm, and delicate aura of calm introspection, the track builds with hollow, immersive percussive elements, creating a neat and uplifting groove. Its slow pace and cosmic touch deliver a reassuring sense of well-being, that feeling where you stop for a second, and realise everything is going to be alright. Their laid-back personalities mirror the calm, collected nature of their music.

The fifth installment of Greyscale’s Exposure series, Refractive Index, continues the label’s focus on vinyl DJ culture with these four gems pressed onto Crystal Clear 180-gram wax. Featuring artists from around the world, this compilation blends dub techno foundations with playful rhythmic variations. Massimo Music opens the record with 'Poly Crystals', a dense, atmospheric cut driven by cascading chords that arc and shimmer over a powerful groove. An amazing track that shows the tracks don't need to be long to be as epic. Also, on Side-A, German producer Armin Bender lightens the mood with 'The Other Side'. This track’s crisp percussion and stuttering beats give it a restless energy. Bright and melodic, it carries a breezy, almost carefree vibe while maintaining just enough rhythmic complexity to avoid predictability. DJs seeking something both brisk and accessible will find it here. Flipping over, Australia’s Noosa Sound System brings 'Dub Move', merging house’s dancefloor functionality with classic dub aesthetics. The slamming beat and sharp percussive snap offer high energy, but the track still feels relaxed making it the perfect balance of the other tracks. Rounding things off, Divide & Elias. close with 'East Side'. Driven by a shuffling breakbeat that leans towards jungle without fully embracing it, the track has raw, street-level appeal. The Mood Series reaches its 145th edition with a warm welcome to Ukrainian producer Toishy Koshimi. Echo Vector is a beautifully balanced six-track journey through modern dub techno. Koshimi blends brisk, techy energy with deep, enveloping atmospheres that balance deep listening yet still being DJ material. Opener 'Voltage Memory' has propulsive rhythms and drifting chords that gather like clouds above a steady, head-nodding pulse. This is prime early-night club material. 'Brume Nocturne' digs deeper, its cavernous textures and melodic softness tempering the pace, building slowly before resolving into a gentle landing. The title track 'Echo Vector' glows warmly, underlined by a deep bass and flowing arrangement that brings introspection as much as movement. On 'Nebelraum', Koshimi crafts a feeling of mysticism, layering dynamic chords over a gradual build that feels almost ritualistic. 'Void Frequency' lightens the mood with airy pads and swirling chord patterns, almost storytelling in their progression yet purposeful. Closing cut 'Fogline' is one of the more assertive moments here as its bolder chord stabs lending weight while still retaining the EP’s deep-listening sensibility. With Echo Vector, Toishy Koshimi proves adept at the classic dub techno balance: hypnotic enough for headphones, yet with the rhythmic push and sonic detail to work in a club setting. It’s an assured debut in the Mood Series tradition, highlighting a strong Ukrainian artist in the global dub techno community.

Under a sky of short days and long nights, Notta Records from Finland unveils Dog Sleep, a deeply immersive EP by Cyclic/Random. Known for crafting slow-burning, atmospheric excursions at the intersection of dub techno and deep, dubbed-out house, Cyclic/Random extends the labels mission of a warm, hypnotic winter soundtrack.  
Across the EP, soft-focus chords drift like snow over steady, smoked-out grooves, basslines pulse with understated weight, and echoes curl around the edges of the stereo field. These are tracks built for long, nocturnal sessions, the moments when the outside world is frozen and the dancefloor feels like a shelter.
