French label Cosmocities, was established in 2019 by Matthieu Soulié-Strougar. Based in Dijon, the label has played host to an impressive roster that includes Leif, Segue, Jitwam, Inner Science, Inkswel, Active Ingredients and Kaidi Tatham. Also responsible for the sell-out smash by Detroit trio Billy Lo, with the outstanding ‘It’s The Life EP’ in January ’21. This coming  year the release schedule is looking fierce with EP’s form Delano Smith and Norm Tally in the 2022 pipeline, plus Hot Chip’s Joe Goddard gets busy on a remix for Japanese producer Inner Science next outing on the label. 

In keeping with this quality, A&R run, Cosmocities presents a four-track affair by Neapolitan scenester, DJ & producer, Fabrizio Fattore, entitled the ‘Lyle EP’. Bringing onboard the production muscle in the shape of Vince Watson. The Englishman, based out of Amsterdam, has been putting out timeless music for over 20 years, over two hundred releases and eleven albums. This man knows his way around a studio.

Fabrizio Fattore, forged his career as a DJ at the world renowned NEUHM party in Naples, sharing the box with artists like Ron Trent, François Kevorkian, Timmy Regisford, Soichi Terada. Since NEUHM started, Fabrizio Fattore was the resident alongside  Gigi Testa. His first release, the afro house ‘Genesis’ came out on Tribe Trax in 2017, later releasing on World Peace Music, and Visions Recordings.

The living legend has been in business for 25 years and has not lost a bit of freshness. In his usual manner, he returns with playful vocals and undeniable chopped up groove, Matthew Herbert at his best.

15 Years Drumpoet

It all started with a community of DJs and beatmakers. Inspired by the various electronic techno + house tingled music from Detroit and Chicago and a deep passion for UK bass music as well as US hip hop and 70’s soul-jazz. This crew of guys from Zurich and the surrounding area combined all of that and started creating a sound which they called b-boy house and teknowsoul. The first bunch of releases brought international breakthrough and artists like Soultourist, Quarion, Cavalier, The Lost Men, and John Daly left a deep impact and sparked the interest of the global dance scene. Back then Alex Dallas hosted the Loud Minority Nights at the infamous Dachkantine in Zurich, inviting special and like-minded international guests. Accompanied by the artists of the Drumpoet Community, this night became a blueprint and was continued in Alex's new club Zukunft (founded in 2005) and to this day the Drumpoet's host institutional nights there.

The club was always the spot where it all came together and where the new music was tested. it was clear from the very beginning that it had to embrace joy, passion, dedication, and positivity. Ron Shiller and Alex Dallas share the same philosophy when it comes to music. They do not jump on trends quickly. In contrary to the usual mechanisms of the hype dance music industry, they let the music breathe like a bottle of good old wine and take the time it needs to present timeless quality dance music.

This compilation manifests the long history of the label, the friendships made over decades, and the honest love for dance music. Drumpoet is more than proud to present a compilation celebrating the label's 15th or even 16th anniversary, with special performances by iconic artists such as Herbert, Roman Flügel, Frank Wiedemann, Manuel Tur, Lauer, John Daly, Kalabrese, Manuel Fischer, Nicola Kazimir, Ripperton and Jimi Jules. A journey into the world of sounds, profound without dogma and as brave and innocent as it gets.

This man is truly a hard worker in music production. His friends complain that he can’t stop writing new music even at their home parties, where all girls go wild when they hear signature Gronery style. No surprise, because Artem has been making music for more than 10 years now. Starting with making beats on legendary eJay DAW in the ghetto of Krasnoyarsk (Siberia, Russia) he studied on his own what groove is. Being in progress, using new hardware such as MPC and synths Artem started his experiments with electronic music. After moving to Moscow Gronery crystallized his own sound and all boundaries between styles were finally erased. Now he is more into making fat hip-hop beats, super dope deep & tech house.

Segment EP it’s practically an album of selected tracks, which were written in the last 3 years. We collected significant part of club ready bombs from Artem’s Ableton projects for your prime time gigs plus added super heavy remix from DJ Max (Sergei Timoshenko, art-director of legendary Propaganda Moscow Club) to wrap up this release finally. Here you have 7 tracks with unique deep & tech flow with some acid influence and samples of porn-stars interviews before they got banged. Be careful And obey Gronery now!

Seb Wildblood's third and youngest brainchild, All My Thoughts, gets ready for its 5th artist EP and 7th release overall to drop. Established just over a year ago, the label was meant to be a platform to showcase the deeper leanings of Wildblood's musical palate. One calendar year later and seven releases in, two of which were full length albums released on cassettes, it's clear that the Church head honcho has another successful imprint on his hands. With a fairly coherent sound that ranges from ambient leanings to more late night, analog jams, the distinction from its older sister labels couldn't be clearer, establishing All My Thoughts as a prime hub for talent largely unconnected, at least in terms of sound, to its older siblings.

Next up on the docket is Secret Lover's "Lost & Found" EP. The Vancouver-based producer, DJ and commander-in-chief of Western Canada's vinyl staple, Heart To Heart, delivers three original tracks alongside a remix from fellow Vancouverite, Khotin, an assortment that finds itself comfortably snug in the AMT aesthetic. Our premiere today is the A1 and original mix of Far Off. Featuring sparsely populated, pleasant chords and a lighthearted keyboard melody, this number is a slowly developing journey. Pairing the melodic elements with a buoyant, rubbery bassline and simple yet groovy percussion, Secret Lover manages to deliver a piece that makes you want to meander through the scenic backdrop of the Canadian rockies. The rest of the EP is worth a good listen too, but we won't spoil it. You should get your hands on a copy and do your own due diligence over at the All My Thoughts Bandcamp page.
