SlapFunk return to the world of phonographic recordings with a mini album split into two ep’s from the highly regarded Tommy Vicari Jnr.

Hailing from the steel city of Sheffield he forged a new bond with the label after a standout DJ set at one of the famous SlapFunk parties and then delivered 8 solid tracks to work the speaker stacks. 

Even with a minimal approach to the main ingredients in the productions, the results have been creating maximum impact on the dance floor, fully road tested at some of the best parties and festivals. Deep,moody, glitched out grooves collide with warehouse box jams that will soon get you throwing some serious shapes.

Will's latest concoctions for Dawn To Dusk reminded us so much of Télépopmusik that a release was a no-brainer. All 6 tracks pump, but the pace is softened by honeyed melodies that smother you in sweetness and send you soaring into a multi-colored stratosphere. Episode 7 features Chhabb,  A Mumbai based artist, who's been Djing professionally for over a decade. His style is usually off center, but wide and limitless. Morphing genres through his set and mixing style. His roots come from Chicago house and Detroit Techno.

"Sadly, I didn't have time, making this mix because I don't have access to a set up. I got one hour to get this mixed recorded at a friends. For me this was about our eerie existence as a species. The acceptance of chaos... while we try to stack and arrange everything. I love how the monsoon is symbolic to balance and duality. The beautiful rain, trees and the flip side getting wet, messy, floods. You have no choice but to give in."

For Those That Knoe kicks off a series of DJ-selected compilations featuring unearthed gems and tried and trusted belters. The first release in the series is provided by label owner Ben boe. Ben has dug deep into the racks to select two personal record box faves. Slaves Incorporated (Paul Rayner) released a short sequence of raw UK-styled garage music in the mid-ninetees on the label "To Groove To Records" out of the UK midlands. The pick of the bunch, "Baby", a peak time thumper with classic organ stabs and swooping subs graces the A-side. Tom Gillieron, perhaps only known to folk on the London scene has released some sought after tech house classics. Originally featuring on his first solo EP on Reverberations in 1998, "The Fire" is an impeccably produced deep breakbeat track for the heads.
