Bangin' It Back is a mix series I started to showcase some of the old 140 BPM techno that I played during my "heyday" as a DJ, in the early 2000's. That was the techno that I loved, bangin techno! When everything slowed down and went minimal I missed it. Now it's coming back finally, and I was able to find some new tracks to put together. It was fun mixing it, and I just jammed it most of the way out, like old times. IT's more heavy on the clubby/housey side of techno, but there's some darker, grittier tunes too, and then a few electro tunes at the end. Enjoy! Please repost if you enjoy it!

Colin Pierce is a 26 yr veteran DJ hailing from Pittsburgh, PA, USA, where he became highly and widely respected for his skills and integrity. 

“A musical journey”
Colin is a lifetime music junky. He is the first human to be born with headphones already on! Seriously though, since 6 years of age he has been actively seeking, collecting, and enjoying, music, and that was in 1983, so you do the math! Colin had 2 bands in high school, and wrote all or much of the music for them. He started mixing records in 1998 shortly after his first rave party, and hasn't stopped, always continuing to refine his formidable technical skills and dynamic range, and always working to pursue improvement. 

Colin is going on a decade clean and sober, as of 2024, and does not play gigs often anymore, focusing on discovering God's purpose. He does it strictly for the love at this point, for the communication, the merging of minds. Having retired mostly from live performances, he is now working on refining the art of mixing, which was the first love: long mixing tracks so that they really dance together and form something new and compelling. Exploring key mixing and perfecting the seamless mix is the new fascination, as well as a rediscovered passion and appreciation for liquid drum and bass.
