Before arriving to the studio to work with us, Colin Deady had done a crazy amount of gigging, written loads of songs and even done plenty of recording at home, but he had never finished or released a full length album of his own, so right from the start it was clear this long overdue record  had to be something special on all fronts. 

Having recorded all the traks start to finish at home Colin initially only planned on redoing drums and bass in the studio, taking advantage of the great acoustics and analogue front end, however it wasn't long before he realized he wanted to go deeper. Layer by layer, the original demmos were eventually replaced almost entirely by new performances which sounded and amazingly even felt better. The arrangements of some tracks were even altered along the way. Amazingly Colin played almost all instruments himself, and a great triumph of the project was the fact that through all this replacing and small bits of reworking, despite being recorded layer by layer by just one musician, the feel and atmosphere of his home demmos wasn't just kept intact, it was amplified. 

This track is an example of a rich and very layered sound which appears on much of the album, however the record winds through genres from stripped down folkish balads to full on rocking out.
