*Notes:*

I could not decide which song to do so I decided to do them all! Well, not quite all but as you can tell from the list above I did use 4 different tracks in this arrangement. This song is heavily inspired by "Marigold" by Periphery and uses a similar structure to it.

It was very clear to me that I wanted lyrics in this song, trying to put words especially to "Chrysalism". Alas, I am no lyricist so I had to resort to ChatGPT to give me a starting point which I then refined into the lyrics as they appear. My wife agreed to sing them and write fitting melodies to the verses and the chorus. The bridge is spoken by me and processed to give them an otherwordly and unsettling sound.

As for the actual material used, the intro and verse melody is an adapted line from section B from "Transitional Longings", made to fit 8 bars of 7/4 and 2 bars of 4/4. The intro of that song contrasts this by playing throughout the section 1:1 as is (albeit played much faster at 200bpm), so in 4/4 over the 7/4 bars, creating some rhythmic interest. The bridge is a string arrangement of the same material.

The 9 bar prechorus comes mostly from the intro from "Chrysalism" while the Chorus itself is an arrangement of the A section.

The interlude introduces a temporary tonality change by emphasizing F over F# from the previous sections, while playing and arrangement of bars 9-40 from "Chasing Pavement".


Last but not least, the solo is arranged from the "Afternoon" section from "Sailing Boats".Some additional melodies were written by me.
