Without hope but slight intention. Caution and attention. Is that the door I've been waiting for? Considering Chekhov's principle one would expect the story to dissolve in shadows. There is still the darkness and the unknown which here, as a subset of the gun... wouldn't one be afraid of a twist in the entire sequence? Insert notion here, It's been fun but I keep control!
