"WAY WITH ME" pulses in diffuse emotional vapour. Abstracted and half-remembered, on the other side of a cassette bleeding through from a hazy dream. Built around layered and deteriorated tape textures, dark and anachronistic synth-wave forced through amorphous sci-fi bass pop. The sound and process draw from a memory deep in Cardinal’s childhood—an early shoegaze cassette warped by a rogue Walkman. At the start of Side B, a fragment of the final track from Side A would always bleed through in reverse. Twisted. Degraded. Slightly different each time. That broken version became the true version—the only one that mattered. It was imperfect, but it had gravity. The track is nostalgia imprinted and actualized as an anachronistic dimension—where memory and love jam the signal bleed of songs you once knew. Realities passing in the night.
