A Unique Oral Histories Project with the Congolese Community in Greater Manchester

Treedrum are a 9-piece band from the plains of Manchester. The band started out 5 years with original members Chris, Poz and Craig playing Dun-Duns, Djembe Sanbang and Kenkeni. Since Treedrum's early stages the outfit has integrated new musicians and features clarinet, guitar, drums and lead vocals. The songs are a fusion of West African traditional songs and drum patterns with more popular song styles.
