‘Dagger in the Leg’ is a dreamy four-track EP by éstudy that reflects on the resiliency of the human spirit. The phrase serves as a metaphor and a simple reminder that we all endure a little pain and hardship as we  continue to persevere despite facing difficult obstacles. 

Each original track tells a unique story and carries its own energy to the dance floor. The influence behind every track was simplicity and emphasizing the raw beauty of each sound for Chem Club Records.

Label Bio:

Chem Club Records is a Philadelphia based label with roots in Techno, House, Electro, Ambient and all things Experimental. Running since 2016, the label is working on it’s 10th release. Chem Club is continuing to research realms of music that have one foot on the dancefloor and the other planted in the studio. Expect the unexpected. 

Artist Bio:

Éstudy is a DJ and producer originally from the Bay Area who now resides in Brooklyn, NY. Éstudy’s music is often mentioned as cinematic with a touch of the unexpected. His roots in psychedelic rock, jazz, classical, and traditional Iranian music influence his eccentric music sets ranging from experimental, house, and industrial to electro, breaks, post-punk, and techno, with cinematic influences. 

He co-ran the collective “They’re Here” in San Francisco for over three years, where he pushed upcoming music and artists with live PA sets and DJing. Éstudy continues to release original music under record labels and has released under Pildoras Tapes, Body Musick, Miseria Records, Mosaique Records, and more.

She has her own rhythm in music and in life -- before finally stepping behind the decks herself, DJ BONEY S already looked back on two decades of club culture experience. Passionately collecting vinyl from various different genres for years, she started out as a party organiser in her native Belgium. Her behind the scenes work continued after relocating to Germany where she was heavily involved in establishing the PARALLEL nights at Griessmühle as a fixture of Berlin nightlife. 

As a former booker and label head, DJ BONEY S developed her own unique taste that is first and foremost shaped by one timeless medium: VINYL. She draws from classic 90s sounds and queer techno, travelling to otherworldly electro or cold industrial beats. Sometimes dreamy, sometimes pouncing -- but always trippy -- her sets invite you to close your eyes. 

DJ BONEY S is resident of SOUSAMI (Cyprus) and a former member of queer collective SLIME, female:pressure member and publishes the PRALL podcast series. She is also one half of DJ Frottée and of Hypnotist, both together with zikade.

There is no god, only people using the others' need of finding purpose in their insignificant existence.

There is no satan neither, satan is creation of the "holy" people to keep the believers scared, and thus easily controlled, obeying the true demons which those preachers serve - also people like you and me.

Hell is real, and it is on Earth. If you don't get what I mean, you are either part of the lucky minority or too stupid, or probably both.

The true evil does not like those educated in a way to be able to tell right from wrong without their shepherd.

Being kind to all and everything is purpose good enough. The evil always comes as an angel of light and gradually prevails. Those who truly believe that their purpose is to lead the others in the right direction are to be feared the most.

Providing proper education is fighting against evil. Perhaps your mother or first grade teacher is the real hero - those who fight in wars kill people.

p.s. They might say I'm fucked up.  Some like and pay to watch movies that scare them shitless, often involving a lot of blood and murder – isn’t that fucked up? These days, I can listen to 70-80s and nowadays truly good music more and more rarely. Actually, I have never had my own TV. Тhe TV news I catch in friends or relatives usually make me sad. It seems most people are interested in others' suffering more than anything else - the majority of them definitely deserve their faith.
