In 2020, Payne took second place in Waeys-Mapper remix competition, which gave him a lot of new energy to act! In 2021, his brand-new track "Now Listen" is going to open our debut EP! Command Strange is back at the controls for his first solo V Recordings release since his Rockin EP at the tail end of 2019. Since, Alexey spent twelve months touring Europe, USA and a string of festivals (pre-COVID), and 2020 saw him release two collaborative releases with Danny Wheeler on Liquid V. His 2020 release schedule also featured an EP on Fokuz, a single with L-Side, as well as two killer remixes.

We're really excited to have him back with us for the Mystery EP, a four track body of work featuring T.R.A.C., Christina Tamayo and MC Fava. Recently Alexey has been spreading his wings in terms of experimentation, delving more into the harder, more dance-floor orientated styles, but for this EP he shifts the focus back to his more soulful, funky style.

Klute kicks 2015 off with a bang for Commercial Suicide with his first solo 12” outing of the year.

2015 represents a landmark of 20 years since the release of Klute’s first 12” on Certificate 18 records back in 1995.  Be prepared for much more Klute this year

“To mark the occasion I’ve decided to release as much new music as I can throughout the year as singles or EP’s as opposed to my traditional route of saving everything up for an album releases every couple of years. These releases will come on Commercial Suicide as well as other labels….. more news on those will follow.”

There will be a full LP towards the end of 2015, and also a compilation of some of the best Klute stuff towards the middle of the year.

Its gonna be a Klute year, basically. And why not?

Renowned for their own distinctive sounds, the next release on Dispatch Recordings brings together two producers with their own unique take on drum and bass. Perfectly complimenting the other’s style, the three tracks that make up DIS150 reveal a creative pairing that we hope to see more of.

‘Enhanced Realism’ strips back complex production methods to enhance the key components of old distorted Emu breaks, classic filters and short verbs to give us that classic ‘warehouse’ tonality.

For ‘Perpetual Motion’ Wreckless shows us his first foray in to a less syncopated style, maximising the straight step grooves that Brain does so well. The bass seems to continually fall throughout the track, working in contrast with the groove for maximum effect.

‘Incendio’ is a minimal stepper packed with a dirty acid filter bass, and that trademark Wreckless syncopation carries throughout the track, rounded nicely with deep pads and the minimal flavours Brain is known for. Perhaps the standout track on the release this really one captures both producer’s individual styles well.
