I've discovered resistance in the strangest of places; the rows of my garden on a rainy afternoon, dusty dance floors tucked away in forest groves and desert valleys, the darkest corners of the club, dimly lit basements of the city. Soundsystem culture is resistance. This is protest music.

This is my sunrise morning set from Diversity Festival 2015 on Texada Island. Big thanks out to Westerley for the amazing timeslot. I think that was my best festival experience to date and I would love to be back anytime that Diversity happens again. This set spanned a pretty wide range of deep and melodic bass music starting in the darkness of the night and ending with the sun fully up (and people doing handsprings and riding tiny tricycles across the dancefloor). Diversity Festival Sunrise Set

If you were there at that big show on that little farm on that little island then you know. Huge thanks to Earth Candy farm and everyone that made that event truly a night to remember.

This is my set from 11:30 - 1:00 in the cobhouse. The intention behind this set - played on Halloween when the veil between worlds is at its thinnest - was to take the dancefloor on a journey into the shadow and out the other side so, as is a pretty constant theme in my mixes, it starts out dark and heavy and breaks into light to end on a melodic and uplifting note. Contains a lot of my favorite tunes in the drum & bass region with a good mix of classics and fresh new tracks. Thanks to all on the packed dancefloor that joined me for that one. Hope you enjoy on some proper speakers.

Earth Candy Set

My setlist from this years Luminosity Gathering at beautiful Sandy Pines Campground in the Nahatlatch Valley north of Vancouver. Played this one from 9:00-10:00pm as the sun set on Sunday night. Was an honour to play on such a beautiful stage and dialed Funktion One soundsystem. Thanks to everyone that was there.

I've also included the music we used for my partner's debut solo dance performance that she performed after my set and before Mihkal's. A true pleasure to get to share the stage with my love.

My closing set at the Cedar Lounge late Sunday night/Monday morning at Shambhala Music Festival in Salmo, BC. Re-recorded from my serato history at home away from the dust; a few mistakes here and there but that's part of the fun. Big thanks to the Grove stage for having me out and everyone that made it to my set at 3am on Sunday night when there was so much other amazing stuff going on. Felt real nice to get to bring the chillest stage at Shambhala from deep dancefloor energy down to straight up ambient just in time for Monday morning. gently waking up the festival at the pond beach at noon at the beginning of the Curve pond party block, all day Saturday, 21 July.  it was a gorgeous summer day and so fun to share the stage with all the homies.  BRS, Stone, Bri, Diego, Manoj, Wu, Dakini, Danny, Derek, Erica and Kenny in full force.  muh lurv!  and the Shift crew throw a righteous hootenanny, I tell you what.  on and off the playa.  been a great honor to light up the pyramid stage over the years.  mad respect!  enjoy!

Live at the Curve Pond Party :: Shift Festival 2018

My opening set from the beautifully mellow Crystal Creek 2019 gathering, near Roberts Creek on the unceded traditional territory of the Shishalh(Sechelt) and Skwxwu7mesh (Squamish) First Nations. This set was the start to a very nice weekend and a great opportunity to play some music aimed more at the ears and heart than the dancefloor; originally played from 8-9pm as the sun set through the trees. This is a home recording from my saved history, with a few extra tunes that didn't make it into the live set but felt right as I recorded it taking up the last 15 minutes. Hope you enjoy and that it brings you the feeling of dancing, listening or simply being in the beautiful forests of the pacific northwest coast. Much thanks to @michaelred for organizing and having me out to play.
