Multi Culti launch a new quarterly 12” series in step with the seasons beginning with SOLSTICE I:

Post-pandemic lockdown inspiration can be found in the great planetary balancing act that has taken place since a cataclysmic impact with an asteroid caused mass extinction and set our earth’s orbit off axis. This AXIAL TILT, or obliquity, is responsible for the seasons, and life as we know it has evolved around these unleashed forces. As our lives and for many, careers, have spun dramatically off axis as of late, we look ahead to the coming seasons, with the hope that we can weather the changes, and maintain inner stability.  To aid in this quest, Multi Culti promises to deliver sonic support with utmost regularity at the peak moments of cosmic significance, with each Solstice and Equinox.

Beginning this journey are some of the label’s most beloved artists. Israeli duo RED AXES provide a chakra-elevating soundtrack with their inimitable blend of psych-garage-tronica, a sun-kissed banger that signals a long-awaited return to the togetherness of the dancefloor.

This week, the Multi Culti label dropped their new comp, Sun Gaze II, a four-track ensemble of colourful, global club tracks. Our favourite here at Complex HQ, Moscoman's fuzzy foot-stomper "Se Acabo", sees the Berlin-via-Tel-Aviv producer concoct a rich melting pot of influences that seem to hint at just about every corner of the world. With its tropical percussion, cumbia-esque cadence and marching bass line, you could deploy this cut in any club in the world and expect a rapturous response from the crowd.

Sun Gaze II is the latest part of the six-part Sun Gaze & Moon Faze compilation. Sun Gaze II is released on Apr. 25, while the full compilation will be released on Jun. 21 as a limited edition box set.

The idea of a remix of Emmanuelle was in the air, we liked the idea to go deeper into the concept of this quite iconic character which has been exploited in so many different ways in literature and movies. 
Emmanuelle’74 refers to the original movie released in 1974. 
The cover art is inspired by Voyeurism, Los Angeles 1989, Helmut Newton
The burning man is also close and we were all excited preparing all our personal Transfinity merchandising completely hand crafted.
We spend time in the studio painting t-shirts and working on the new Emmanuelle release: this track meant to be our last release before the Burn, before going back home in the Playa.

These sounds came through a shaman guided San Pedro ceremony. This is what happened..

I was standing by a huge tree, every mythology has their tree of the world. In the north that tree is called "yggdrasil". I Closed my eyes and was told to follow the roots deep down under ground. It was completely dark, but the roots of the tree just kept leading me deeper and deeper... Finally i reached this cave... And there was a fire down there. And people standing in a circle around that fire. I was quiet, and looked at their lit up faces.

They told me they were my ancestors, and that they have been waiting for me...

Next moment i was standing by the foot of the mountain Kebnekajse. This time there were no other mountains around. just wide stretches of land. It was very windy.. I could see that old tree in the horizon. So i went back to it to sit down by its stem.

I began to hear the shaman drums calling me back to this world again.

Their latest offing is a delectable EP from Johannes Klingebiel; a certified jazz drummer purveying tripped out warm sounds. ‘It’s OK To Cry’ features five cuts ranging in tenderness and atmosphere, each track showing off Klingebiel’s deep musicality. Here we premiere  ‘Time Is Now,’ a slow burning yet subtly euphoric number that elevates with percolating bass and glistening, spacey keys.
