The unbounded, genre-mashing DJ, producer and industry juggernaut, Diplo, is excited to announce the June 12th release of the Express Yourself EP on his label Mad Decent. The six-track recording from the man who makes up one half of the bombastic duo, Major Lazer, is his first solo release since 2004’s Florida and is a product of the artist's fearless endeavors of exploring and unearthing new music from around the world. Spastic freak-beats tie the recording together but genres present span from Dancehall to New Orleans Bounce to EDM. After one and a half decade and more than 400 releases, Compost Records bundles some of their finest tunes as Various Artists digital download compilation albums.
The variety and full spectrum of Compost’s repertoire has never or rarely been presented in form of a musical genre compilation. These releases will be compiled or DJ-mixed by Compost’s artists and are available as digital downloads, except in some rare cases very very limited as 500 CDs.

Again a dancefloor oriented remixes selection from self-proclaimed Compost Head Selectahs Rupert & Mennert. After the first successful volume they dived into some other genres, but the fine tracks that were left out in the first edition were always whispering and luring them back. So they started selecting again and after a while a new mix was assembled with maybe even bigger remixers. Maybe even the biggest that Compost ever released.

In this new 60 minute selection you can hear absolutele stunning performances by Peter Kruder, Carl Craig, Christian Prommer, Zed Bias, Llorca (Art Of Tones), Marcus Worgull and more! Made for the dancefloor, this mix is something you want to dance to. So play it at your party, in your car, on your iPod or make it a pre-mixed set to play at a festival (because you can't mix like Paris Hilton).

Who are Rupert&Mennert?
They reside in Den Helder, The Netherlands. One of the most beautiful cities in the world. From there they send their music into the wide world. They broadcast a highly irregular radioshow called Weird Pigs. They remix tracks and invent new concepts about making music.
Together with Me Raabenstein they released, as Lagerfeltz, an avant-garde album called Aar, on Nonine Recordings, Berlin.Together with remix-work for Energie du Verre, (twice) Ensemble du Verre (Batterie Records, Hamburg) and Timo Garcia (Compost) their release-roster is building.
The cherry on the cake is the selection of two of their remixes on the new Future Sounds of Jazz Vol. 12 (handpicked by the Compost head-honcho himself). Currently a remix for Marbert.Rocel is in the making and a new big secret project on Compost Records will see the light in the next year. This project is called: Brain Connection Series and more info is coming soon.
And of course you can expect more Compost Selections from their hand too. They just finished the Compost Female Vocals Selections Volume 1. Now the male vocalists will be put together into a selection too.

This work, features some new convolution topology morphing ideas (executed in CDP) and hours of painstaking molecular level editing in the drop. It was worked on in 3 movements, similar to my working modality on This Binary Universe.

As it relates to the "drop". I'd like to refer you to the last 4 minutes of Mad Skillz Mic Check. That's 1999. *rests case your honor*

In digging around in some of these new FFT/Spectral/convolution ideologies, I've come up with some compelling new addendum's for both Stutter Edit and other unreleased technologies (with my software partners iZotope).

The video is a collaborative work with the pioneering Randy Halverson and Subtractive. I can't wait for you all to see this. Links below.
