A place far away from everything, yet right around the corner. A vision close enough to touch, yet so far away. Surrounded by keys, hatches, pots and small fragmented parts, Marbert Rocel lie down, discuss and dance through the winter of 2015. In this environment, in their studio in Leipzig, the band ties together the songs, which first saw the light of day in a small spot enclosed by woods in the summer of 2014.  Each decision goes through every head, each chord is listened to a hundred times, from font to back and in reverse, each compromise: a triumph for the common cause. Not pompoous string arrangements fuel this album with grandeur, but rather the notion of a consensual nod, which has evolved within Marbert Rocel over the years.  “In the Beginning” is the fourth album by Marbert Rocel, a living utopia and a tart kiss for every purist genre lover. Nothing is hewn raw on here, rather sculptured delicately. Percussion is tickling from synth pads like dew, and the songs welcome you like good friends. Like Tinkerbell, Spunks voice guides through this strange familiar world, moving past big feelings and small gestures, to finally lead to where it all started: “In The Beginning”.

Multiphonia is the debut album from Compost’s new signing Robinn, AKA Tom Le French. Warm synths, off kilter jazz percussion and touching melodies escort the listener through the album. Adding to the audio delight is Nathaniel Pearn, also known as Natural Self from Brighton label Tru Thoughts, who provides thoughtfully felt and timed vocals.
Tracks like “Hall Of Mirrors” have a timeless quality. Never predictable and always thought provoking, tracks like this do not come around often. Descending basslines, subtle keys and layered vocals make for a delightful treat to the ears. Meanwhile, “Hawaiian Wedding” creates an interesting change in the LPs direction, with moody overtones and more aggressive drum stabs, but all the while maintaining the sleek and slick demeanour that we see throughout the album. The album rounds off the listener’s journey with ‘False’ an epic dubbed out nu- jazz/House workout, a must for both living room listening and Room 1 club grooving.

Ensemble Du Verre (E.D.V.) was founded by the composer, producer and musician Sönke Düwer in 2003. Since then, a number of albums and EPs did see the light of day, including a “CD of the Year” of Art Online and the “Prize of German Record Critics” in 2008.

Musical independence, diversity and stylistic boundlessness are basic elements in Ensemble Du Verre's music. Jazz, Dubstep, House and Breakbeat merge and create the unique E.D.V. sound, like on the new album "The Light Gets In", which perfectly represents personal expression and creative potential of producer and multi-instrumentalist Sönke Düwer. He is a thoroughbred musician with a lot of live experience. Ensemble Du Verre starting their Tour in winter 2013/14.
"The Light Gets In" is a homogeneous collection of songs, performed by the debut singer Shirin Al- Mousa. She sings on all of the 11 songs, as well as she wrote the imaginative and often ambiguous lyrics. Her multifaceted vocals bring the jazz and soul into their music, giving it an intimate warmth and beauty. Her impressive vocal flexibility adds a very special touch in the predominantly downtempo songs.
Pulsing, electronic soundclouds, fat beats and bass, spiritual music of the 70's and Fender Rhodes creating a new path in the musical landscape of today. Deep roots in jazz as well as the background in Djing are evident at any time. Also essential are great melodic diversities that never bore the listener at any time of the album.

Ensemble Du Verre history:
First step was the album “Facing, Transparent”, released in 2004. The sound was already marked with cross- stylistics and electronic influences. E.D.V. played a lot of concerts and in May 2004 they started to perform as the support band for Bugge Wesseltoft.

In the following year "Sing Me Something" was released. International stars like Sidsel Endresen, Ursula Rucker and Torun Eriksen contributed their voices to the album. "Sing Me Something" was nominated for album of the year 2005 at “Art Online”.
In 2008 Sönke Düwer founded his own label “Battery”. "Sanctuary For Animals" was released in the same year. That album won the “Price of German Record Critics”.
Ursula Rucker collaborated as well. For Düwer she wrote and produced the song "Uh, Uh," on her album "Ma 'At Mama". In return to this the poetry icon of Philadelphia sang "Just Another Sunday Morning". A video for this song was produced as well. The music on "Sanctuary For Animals" is like film music, with a mix of jazz, and electronica samples.

Also in 2008 they released "Remixed”. Six new in vinyl cutted constitutions, all tracks taken from "Sanctuary For Animals". All works are contemporary club music, including arrangements by Volker Meitz (Sonar Kollektiv Orchestra) and Stefan Rogall (eg nylon).
In 2010 the sampler album "Versions, Vibes & Remixes" was released. You can hear ten songs, mostly reworkings of older tracks. Sönke Düwer played almost all instruments like Fender Rhodes, drums, percussion and bass by himself. The beginning of this CD-
Series made Energy Du Verre (a beat -oriented offshoot of Ensemble Du Verre) in 2009. Recently in October 2011 the fifth album of Ensemble Du Verre was released: "The Contemporary Cowboy". This album was a manifestation of Düwer ́s sound. In autumn 2010 "The Contemporary Cowboy" was “the CD of the week” of german TV station NDR.

ÜberMood is a very personal travel of Christian Prommer into his roots. Having collaborators with most of his projects for the last two decades, he now debuts with his first solo album: ÜberMood.
These 16 songs are a reflection on his musical journey for the past 12 month.
ÜberMood says it all. You need the german Übermut (may be translated as cockiness or devilment) as an artist to go the extra mile out of your comfort zone to tap into new territory. And the mood or atmosphere is something that defines your voice as an artist. This record was written and produced all over the world on the many travels that Christian Prommer took to concerts, studio sessions and DJ shows. Improvisation is the main mantra of Christian Prommers creative process. Playing with the various instruments, drum machines, sequencers and records, Christian is on a mission to the perfect moment. Whether it’s when playing live with his band (live set with jazz musicians as „Drumlesson“), at solo concerts or as a DJ, the moment is what brings music to life and connects you with the audience.
To describe the music of this album is quite a challenge.
This record travels through all of Christian Prommers musical interests. From classical, jazz, electronic soundscapes, folk and soul-music to deep house music.
The rhythm and the improvisation is always a very distinctive element in the music of Christian Prommer. He played many of the instruments on this record himself but reached out to some fine collaborators to get the extra input he was looking for.

The story of Pitchben is one about consistency.
It’s the 80s. A young boy is growing up to the soundtrack of Electro Funk, drawing influence from the likes of Jackson, The Whispers and D-Train and developing a genuine passion for music. Around 20 years later in 2011, this boy is releasing his debut album “Pitchslap” on Compost Records. This root of funk has been a constant since his childhood. Exploring new territories in the 90s Pitchben, known as ‘M-Tech’ at the time, started to deejay and produce at the young age of 13.
Working the turntables like an instrument, he became one of the key figures in the world of Scratching and Turntablism. In 2002 he won the German DMC finals with a scratched interpretation of “Break Machine – Street Dance”. Since this rather intense excursion Pitchben is focusing on production, sounddesign and audio engineering, crafting as well his own music but also coproducing the works of other artists such as 6 time DJ World Champion ‘Rafik’. Unsatisfied with the homestudio-path that has been taken by most 
contemporary music it is now his mission to not only bring back that authentic 80s sound, but to join the authentic production style of that era with a modern touch. This means: real scores for authentic string and brass sections were recorded by top notch musicians while the featured vocalists present skill levels easily comparable to those of 80s singers. This teams up with huge synths and drums, creating the fresh big sound that can only be produced in a modern studio environment.
