My Mosaic records from that era are very important to me. I started djing back then by wearing out all the grooves on my Mosaic records. I don't have many of them, but they're part of my collection, my career and my history.
I put a lot of heart into it, it brought back a lot of memories of those days, and I love the songs I played so much.

Stuart Evans, aka Sordid Sound System, is one of the founders of the Glaswegian “Green Door Studio”, a not for profit recording facility with full analogue capability alongside high end digital recording. Evans now resides in Northern California where he continues to produce as Sordid Sound System and where he has built another studio: Green Door West. “It’s About Time” with its tribal Can-influenced drive was released on Invisible, Inc. in 2019.

David Benjamin (Noema, Magic Jams) is a DJ, producer, guitarist, and label head from Berlin. You may remember Noema's legendary tribute edit of Ata Kak's ‘Daa Nyinaa’ and the wicked re-rubs of Eddie C, Axel Boman and Soft Rocks. He has released and worked with Apparat, Dj Dixon, and Basement Jaxx as well as underground heroes Lauer, Kalabrese, Shubostar, O/Y, Acid Pauli, Auntie Flo, Dreems, Khidja, Panthera Krause and Mehmet Aslan. Over 25 years of DJing, he has mastered the ones and twos refining his craft during his 10-year residency at Berlin institution Wilde Renate. While Noema focuses on contemporary electronica and leans towards the psychedelic, Magic Jams has a more acoustic sound inspired by dusty crate digging, the African diaspora, cosmic disco, and Balearic beats. David also runs the Magic Movement label and has released music by artists Nicola Cruz, Axel Boman, Dengue Dengue Dengue, Xique-Xique, and Eddie C.

On this killer vinyl only release you’ll find two funky disco weapons on the A, played with a full band set-up and reworked by Magic Jams, while on the flip, Noema presents a more cosmic disco drop featuring dazzling synths and some delectable drum programming.
