Tel Aviv Based artist, Dj Split signs to the Paris based imprint label, Epicure Records and announces his debut EP which will be out July 14th, 2023.   

The 4-tracker perfectly showcases his unique approach to modern electronic dance music blending subtly genres from trance to house music.    

First track, Treelely, opens the ball with a full-throttle house banger with no shortage of interesting elements. Its drums and pumping bassline is topped with trancey and psychedelic reverbs FX. 

“Ness” is tireless and it grows darker and more powerful as the minutes pass by. Militant drums, battered electronics and lovingly drowned vocals hypnotically pulse and reverberate.

 Third track is a psychedelic cosmic adventure jangling percs, drums and fuzzed-out synths.

  Finally the last track is the perfect blend of psychedelic trance music and pure house melody that gets stuck in your head for a long time.

  With this EP Dj Split creates a rich spectrum of sound that takes listeners on a journey through a range of emotions and genres.  

Close your eyes, sense the tracks' bewitching vibe and rhythm and have a majestic stellar ride.

The tale of this disc that has been given the name “Flashbacks” come from two brothers from Uruguay, Nico and Fede Lampariello. The vast knowledge of musical production has been demonstrated, all within the true style of the underground. Produced with a Uruguayan flavor, putting that cherry on the top that we all know and love. With the musical flavor that the Lampariello’s have provided its essence can be felt through whole of the dark universe as its existing. It is an utmost pleasure to be welcoming these particularly talented siblings to the label with these four club-ready cuts, that has been pressed for the specific time when the action needs to be shown. The mechanical quantum gears of it have begun shifting and spinning rapidly for the unified idea of love for the nonstandard audio frequencies.

On 7th August the godfather Mike Dunn presents an EP fuelled by a pumping heart of pure house, entitled ‘DJ Beat That Shhh’ / ‘Move It Work It’. 

Both tracks capture Mike’s essence, placing his trademark hip house booty style vocals and stripped-back, jacking drums centre stage. 

‘DJ Beat That Shit’ is classic, bumping 90s Chi goodness updated with modern technology, whilst ‘Move It, Work It’ is a no-nonsence smoke and strobe throbber, that recalls the best of Trax and DJ International.

For anyone who knows their shit, Mike should need no introduction, but for those that don’t, he was highly influential in birthing the modern day dance music phenomenon, especially with tracks like ‘Face The Nation’, ‘God Made Me Phunky’, ‘Let It Be House’ and ‘Personal Problem’. 

Mike created hip house, DJ’d with fellow legends Ron Hardy, Larry Heard and Armando Gallop, produced for house heroes Armando, Fast Eddie and K-Alexi Shelby, and worked with the iconic voices of Byron Stingley and Kym English. 

After a long absence from DJing in Europe, Mike returned in 2015 to rock crowds at Panorama Bar, Fabric, Concrete, Sub Club and Glastonbury, demonstrating why the Chicago OG is still very much in demand.
