She'd noticed a change in his temperament, it wasn't just the puffed up eyes and wet cheeks that were a giveaway. His door remained closed and his conversations had been reduced to one or two word sentences. She knew she didn't have to say much, she just wanted to let him know she was there; an ear for anything he wanted to divulge, whenever that may be. She didn't have all the answers but she had all the time in the world to listen to him.

To mark mental health awareness month, South London-based cassette label Sticky Tapes have rounded up several producers for a six-track mini-comp titled ‘hey, do you need someone to talk to?’. Known for their charity-indebted tape mixes, which have featured contributions from Violet and ELLES, CC:DISCO! and Barbara Boeing and many others, this new comp comes as a digital only release this time round and brings together the likes of Tim Reaper, Ell Murphy & Picasso, PRAYER, IN2STELLAR, Theo Everyday and Kitsta.

As always all proceeds from the release will be donated to charity, and this time round they're focusing on three mental health helplines, The Samaritans, SANEline and Switchboard, who are all doing incredible work for those who need someone to talk to when they need it most.

To raise further awareness of the helplines, Sticky Tapes will be posting 500 posters all over London that feature rip tickets with the helpline numbers.

For the first release of the label we would like to welcome MASI. Two brothers from Amsterdam who’s sound could be described as old meets new school electro and minimal. 

The A1 of the EP represents that old meets new school electro club focused track while B1 is an atmospheric cosmic inspired minimal track.
B2 is a smart club driver track that gradually adds deep low end bass throughout the track for a unique build up that will be noticed best on a proper soundsystem.

reActive Lab closes the year with a special project from Dragne, one of the artists who has grown alongside the label’s identity and vision. Reboot is a compact EP, yet full of intention, built around a clear concept: reset, re-enter, reconnect. Dragne once again captures the essence of the reActive sound with a clean, rhythmic style, subtly tense and perfectly calibrated, where minimalism meets controlled energy—the hallmark of his work.

The three tracks of the EP form a cohesive narrative that acts as a statement for the end of the year: an opening (Reboot), a transition (Entry), and a stabilization (System). Together, they create an organic, direct atmosphere that stays true to reActive Lab’s DNA. Whyt is a  DJ/producer hailing from the outskirts of London, he has been making an impact on the underground scene for a while now playing at some of the coolest parties and venues London has to offer. He has also landed himself releases on top imprints such as the Lab, duboka,  Tzinah, urban midi and phonic house1 just to name a few examples. His signature sound of floaty synths and driven bass lines are some what captivating and is definitely helping craft his own sound.
