Jakke began his musical journey in the world of alternative rock, first making waves with a series of captivating releases and performances showcasing his talent as both a singer and songwriter. Jakke's early success has landed him on top playlists like Spotify's Chill Tracks and Apple Music's New in Dance and New in Alternative. Over time, his passion for sound transcended genres, leading to a natural progression into dance music and evolving as a skilled DJ. Seamlessly merging live instrumentation with electronic elements, Jakke now delivers mesmerizing hybrid sets that captivate audiences. Collaborating with a diverse array of artists over the last two years, Jakke has been prolific in the studio, with several EPs lined up for release in the coming 18 months. Always pushing boundaries, Jakke is a fearless artist who masterfully blends genres and embodies the spirit of sonic innovation. This dynamic approach results in music that is both contemporary and daringly experimental.

Dersu is one half of the DJ duo @peaceinnoise, Creative Director at @Vice in Los Angeles and founder of the style/music online magazine @Witness-This, the monthly non-profit party NightCause, and the Wish You Were Here Party. His sets mirror his life journey, transporting listeners around the world via a style of grooves ranging from minimal techno to indigenous downtempo. His mission is to spark joy and connection through music by whatever means necessary. <3
