This is 90% the selection played at Outro Lado on Thursday afternoon at Waking Life 2022. Thanks to the fantastic crowd for the open-mindedness and the energetic dancing. Also much appreciated the various personal feedback!

The beginning of my musical journey was an attempt to find direction, even in the process of growing up and to sort emotions. The opportunity to empower oneself, to break free, or to lose oneself is still the aim of my music consumption today. I believe that this is something deeply normal (?) However, my favourite kind of music is embracing, preferably with orchestral elements, which I would describe with a certain grandeur. That means, while listening, the attempt is made to detach oneself from all the adversities and lows of life - to look at oneself and the chaos of life from a distance.

Yamour resident at our good friends of Blitz Club (we can’t wait until Cruise x IsBurning next week!) and one of the thriving forces behind Good2U Festival. Yamour played at our Yellow House marathon during ADE and now she’s back with an IsBurning mix. An neverending house groove for the mind & the body banging in subtleness! 

Trackhighlight Chez Damier & Makèz - „Do It“ (Adeen Records)
An uplifting deep house tune with organic percussions, a thick and bouncy bassline, buttery chords and a fun acid melody that comes in mid-track. I love the two funky disco breaks, definitely a highlight for me.
I bought this record in Japan, while I was on tour in Asia and it immediately became a staple in my record bag. 
The EP is a collaboration between Adeen and legendary Chicago label Balance. All four tracks are produced by Chez Damier and Makéz, plus a smoky remix by Mr G.

As producer & DJ, the best way to describe Philipp Priebe’s music might be as dancefloor-prose. His sounds feel like they wrap you in a blanket of melancholy ~ deep house with the dusty grinds of dub techno. While everything’s seems to become faster & shorter in musical spaces, it feels like a fresh breeze to come across someone you could call an ‚album artist‘. Ready for that hour of a warm blanket.
